I tried building a research facility on Coruscant - nothing. You mean the one that mentions the Death Star in its description, right? Ugh, I just want this to work. We use the swmod.exe... the hacked one correct?

well im not sure if there was one alrdy built for me or not on coruscant but im preaty sure I built it there (a research building). yes we are supoosed to use the swmod.exe I also just noticed that there is an invisible unit at hoths land battle 2 though the unit does nothin but my units shoot at him.

I think i need a new config file for this mod.. so thats why i cant see any upgrade buttons

 

That may be it, but I installed the mod on a fresh install of the demo and it still gave me problems.

most people are not stupid or ballsy enough to put virus/trojans etc into a mod, and then release it publicly, as that person would then most likely get tracked down and beaten to death.

 

So, its reasonable to assume its safe.

 

If your computer crashes or has issues, its do you software issues on your end that just happen to conflict with the game.

Ok woke up, now to help, those space/land battle crashes are a mistake on my part, I must have mistyped some names, it was late.

I am going to disable all non-model heroes for the next release.

This mod is safe, no virii or trojans.

Invisible units are ion cannons, removed in next version.

Research options are on the same planet where you built your research lab.

 

Those crashes, I checked the files and they seem to be correct, so it may be that the rebels are sending heroes that dont work into battle, in the next version I am disabling heroes that do not work.

what about the 3rd invisible building or was that another ion cannon? I retreated from the battle and came back and the 3rd invisible building was gone though. btw great mod, best yet

He's on it.

If he removes the option for the heros that don't have a model accociated in the data we installed for the demo, then these 'force ghosts' will quit crashing. It is a result of missing 3D parts if you will for the named jedi.

 

Big fan of the XML and TXT editing of this game. Although I'd rather rename the ships as I get them ingame...the TXT files of by ship namebanks is pretty cool.

I think I know why the research button isn't appearing on my game, I have a different config.meg file to the original. I've been looking for the original but can't find it anywhere, if someone could post it on the net somewhere then I'd be able to play this mod properly.

All heros will not be buildable (AI does build them) in next version, and in the full game Kuat, Mon Calamari, Fondor & Sullust, if you have one of them, you can build a SD on any planet.

It seems ok, but what puts me off is the rebels building multiple Han Solo and Chewbacca units.

 

So, when Han Solo attacked my fleet, 2 falcons decimated my fleet within 5 minutes.

 

So, 2 falcons took out 4 T/F squads, 4 T/B squads and 4 VSDs in like 5-10mins.

 

I hope he is that strong when i control him, but i bet you he ain't.
