innerfears Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 When I went to Onderon, I somehow got approached by Col. Tobin (I think) in regards to helping General Vaklu in exchange for finding Master Kavar. Well, I was given no option to deny it, and from there on I was working with Vaklu instead of Queen Talia, which I wanted to do since I'm doing light. Then I come to the part where you encounter Master Kavar in the Royal Palace and I'm forced to kill him, and he repeatedly calls me evil and fallen, etc. even though I'm like 100% light. I didn't even get dark side points for killing him. Why do they not give you an option to join forces with him and turn on Vaklu and his troops? Does this screw up the lost Jedi rendezvous on Dantooine and will I be forced to kill every Jedi now?
Jae Onasi Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 If you really didn't like that particular outcome, there's always the option of going back to a previous save and replaying Iziz, which is probably what I'd do in this situation. Any excuse for extra play time works for me! I don't have any good answers on the rest (I play LS too), sorry. Welcome aboard to the forum!
Rain128 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 General Vaklu = Dark Side Queen Talia = Light Side you need to reload and switch sides my friend =/ I think what you did was approach someone just past Ponlar and talked to him/her (forgot sorry) thats how you start the dark side option of Onderion you need to go and find Mandalors friend and get him outta jail...
innerfears Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 Yeah, I'm at the end now so it doesn't really matter, I just don't see why they don't give you more options to back out of that particular storyline. If say you decided to change your mind in the middle of a sequence that would've been good.. but instead the only conversation options you have are DS.
Darth Sun_Tzu Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I think there are 2 points that can start you on the DS option. 1. The speaches that Ponlar makes. 2. The conversation between the 2 aliens (one is a Deveronian). You need to side with the queen in these then the DS option will close.
Lantzen Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 1 question, did you really think Vaklu was good?

Yeah, what I mean about those 2 conversations is that they are the deciding factors for a while throughout the game.. I just can't believe that trivial dialogue like that won't let you decide for yourself further down. The further into Onderon I went the more I decided to go with Talia but it of course didn't let me choose in the conversation with Tobin.
Lantzen Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 You can chosse in the conversation with Tobin, i have backout from the deal. Read the dialouges options
innerfears Posted February 4, 2006 Author Posted February 4, 2006 I did, I didn't see anything that would have indicated a backout. What was it that you chose?
Shem Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 It's just best to show your support for Queen Talia if you want Light Side. It's just the way to do it.
