malak saber length

I haven't been modding very long(just creating custom items), I was wondering if there is any way to use the malak model hilt with the standard blade length. thanks for the help.

Hmmm. Well, someone correct me If I'm wrong but this is what I would do:

 

Read :

 

a) Achilles’ “Saber Tutorial.doc” (Available on Achilles’ website).

b) Achilles’ “Lightsaber Walkthrough” (Found in the “Skinning and Modeling” section of Holowan.)

c) lightsabre_construction.pdf (I don’t remember where I got it. Search Holowan or Google it. =P )

d) saber_tut.rtf ( by T7Nowhere, I think I got it from Holowan.)

 

Now that youve skimmed those over:

 

Import malak's saber into nwnmax.

Delete everything except the hilt geomitry.

Save

Replace one of the standard hilt models with your malak hilt. (How to do this is outlined in the tutorials above Edit :Also in the Replacer Tutorial that comes with MDLOps).

Also to answer your basic question. Yes you can. In fact many modders have done so off the top of my head Chainz.2da and Redhawke have done this. I believe T7nowhere has as well.
