edlib
... The "XWA.Net Forum-Community Pops Orchestra" I know there are a few other musicians here. I need to know what instrument(s) you play (or would like to play if you don't currently play anything, we will provide) what type of music you like to play, and a rough approximation of your skill level. I'll start: Guitar, elecric bass, blues harmonica, and background vocals. I want to take-up banjo, mandolin, and dulcimer at some point. Fiddle and clarinet are other possibilites. I normally play blues, rock, jazz, funk, bluegrass, and fusion, or any combination of those. Don't ask me to play any classical pieces however, you would be sorely disappointed. I guess I would classify myself as a "Semi-Pro" on the guitar (meaning I play gigs, but don't really earn any money doing it) and as an "Enthusiastic but Rank-Amature" at all the others. All are welcome. I'm especially looking for people who play some of the more unusual or specialty instruments out there (bagpipes or accordian anyone?) Jem
I'm a lead electric guitarist, and I'm good (no jocking). I also do some classic. I just like to improvise but I mostly do some rock and stuff like Satriani and Vai. I'm going to start playing instruments like the Djembé and Kora, Senegalese instruments... and that's it ------------------ Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now. edlib
That's great 9! That's what I really do for a living, so it'll be fantastic to let someone else do that for a change! Oh by the way,... I need more "me" and kick in the monitor! And one more blast of feedback and you're out! (I've always wanted to be the one saying that instead of being on the other side!) But we won't suck, so it's a moot point. Right folks?

Admiral Zaarin
Well, if you need someone to wail in a high-pitched voice, completely out of tune, then I'm your man.
Guest Rogue 9
we can probably fix your voice, just EQ it to eliminate alot of the high end, and run a reverb effect, if all else fails I can cut your mike.

edlib
ROADIE!!! Actually I've done more than my fair share of that kind of work. There's no shame in it. It actually can have it's moments (like the time I got to have champagne and cake with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull the night he turned 50, or the time I worked all day setting up a U2 stadium show and our shift ended just before the show started so they gave us seats: 5th row, dead center, amazing!)Plus you get to see all the great shows and get paid for being there. Union stagehands can make serious loot too. Plus you get all the free t-shirts you could ever want! Anyway, I forgot to add we will need some composers and songwriters as well. What good is it having all these players if we don't have good music to play? Anyone out there do this sorta thing?

Flying Beastie
I'm half-decent on keyboard. I can also play a bodhran (a celtic drum). One of these days, I'd like to try at pan-pipes. As for music, I can stand anything except country, metal, funk, and rap. ------------------ "Do fish-people eat fish, or would that be like humans eating monkeys?" "Humans do eat monkeys.
