Nute Gunray
I'm trying to find someone that's built the 1/144th scale Heavyarms. If someone has, can said person tell me what angle of the pegs that the shoulders get mounted on? I'm working on my Gundam and I noticed that Deathscythe's arms were meant to be mounted on pegs that are a a ninety degree angle to the side of the torso, whereas Heavyarms Custom (the torso I was planning on using) are at a 45 degree angle. If Heavyarms pegs are at a 90 degree angle, then i'd prefer to use those. i hope someone makes sense out of this.
Psycho Tycho
You came to the right place then, Nute. I have the 1/144 scale model of Heavyarms too. Well on my model, the shoulders and the arms are on a 90 degree angle. Where did you buy your model? I bought my model at a pure Anime store. A store where Niner and I usually go. Nute Gunray
Thanks. I was planning on starting work on my Gundam soon and that's very helpful to me. That means I have to still get a D. Hell Custom and the standard Heavyarms i get mine at Software, etc., but they never have the Endless Waltz ones and i have to get those wherever I can find them. I might have to travel down to Pittsburgh where this is an anime store to get that Deathscythe. JR2000Z
I stoped making the models after the Wing Zero one I bought. I got the Deathsythe Endless Waltz Custom and Talgesse II action figures. Nute Gunray
Those action figures are pricey around here, like $8. I can get the models for like $12-15...
JR2000Z
If you want a good site on models go to: http://epy0n.com Its really helpful since it has reviews and pics of the final product of all the models and action figures. Plus it has pics of all the episode. One of my favorate Gundam site.
Psycho Tycho
Damn Nute! Models for $15-18?! I have to get my models for $30-40. I gotta go to that store then!
Taarkin
The closest thing to an anime store around here that I know of would be one of those creepy places that sell Dungeons and Dragons stuff(they're similar in the fact that both their operators call their parent's basement home) ------------------ Was I supposed to eat the heads too? Nute Gunray
I checked the prices on all three of the Gundams i have: Deathscythe: $15.99 (I got him a few months back before the took a bit off the price. I just finished it today ) Deathscythe Hell: $13.99 (is waiting to become parts for my personal Gundam) Heavyarms Custom: $14.99 (will be built as Heavyarms instead of parts for my Gundam) Heavyarms: $12.99 (I will get him tomorrow for parts. It seems popularity determines price. Sandrock is also cheap). http://www.gamestop.com/searchresults.jsp?searchbox=gundam&foundin=title&find.x=37&find.y=3 that would be the site for the store where i get them. look at the prices
Flying Beastie
My only source for Gundam models is the Silver Snail over on Bank St. (in Ottawa). They have some models. I got a small Epyon (that I still haven't gotten around to assembling) for about $15-20. They've finally begun stocking the Action Figure Model Kits, but apparently there are two types. The small (less detailed) kits are for $15-20, but the bigger (hyper-detailed --you can see the welds in the armour ) are well over $30. Unfortunately, they don't seem to make the same Gundams in both size ranges. I've been eyeing an AFMK Epyon, but it's one of the large ones. The only small AFMK's I find are Wing Gundam, Altron, Shenlong, Altron Custom, and Tallgeese. ------------------ "Do fish-people eat fish, or would that be like humans eating monkeys?" Nute Gunray
I've seen both the little (1/144th) and HUGE (1/100th) AFMK Epyons. Heck, I saw them both at the same time today. I was eyeing the 1/144th Heavyarms and the woman i know that works where I buy them says "i've got something in teh back you might be interested in." she runs off and comes back with the 1/100th Deathscythe. I got it for $22. it's the greatest thing i've ever seen. EVERYTHING is a part. The yellow trim on Deathscythe's shoulders ARE PARTS, NOT STICKERS...it's insane. Rogue Nine
I've got a bunch of models as well. My 1/100s are Zero, D-Hell and Altron EW version. And I've got a cute little EW Zero too that's missing the saber. All of them are pretty easy to snap together, but it takes a while, even the 1/144s. And they look hella cool if you have the markers (which I so so need.)
Nute Gunray
Hopefully tonight I'll be getting that Heavyarms I need and in a few days getting the DH Custom. Then I can finally make my Demonhawk. After that, I'm going to get some Gundam from Gundam X or whatever it's called that looks pretty neat and going to make Cathy Bloom a Gundam out of left over parts and that other Gundam. I found a set of daggers and knives that were supposed to be for some kind of knight or pirate diorama and they're the right size to be put on a Gundam and not look too big or too small...(can you see what i'm thinking there? )

As for your latter post; Yeah, I see what you're doing. One of these days I'm going to right a great injustice and design a Gundam for Noin. She's deffinitely at that level; she's the only combat pilot to survive the series and the movies without having a set of gundanium armour to rely on. My heart was in my throat every time she was in battle! ------------------ "Do fish-people eat fish, or would that be like humans eating monkeys?" Commander 598
I've already got one designed. But it would be more classified as a mass production MS and not a gundam. I call it the Taurus Commander's Type. Basically a little bigger with a regular Buster Rifle(Like the Wing's) a pair of sabers for close combat and its made of gundanium alloy. I'm gonna use it for a nice long story i'm working on. ------------------ Official Forum Nuclear Terrorist
Guest Conor
I have a confession to make. I really like these silly model kits. I felt my money was looking at me funny so I got rid of a bunch. I got Sandrock, D-Hell, Tallgeese III and Altron (all 1/100, all endless waltz custom), and I will be getting heavyarms. After I make a bunch of money over the summer I will actually be getting the PG 1/60 Wing Zero Custom. Sandrock's cloak is the coolest thing ever. Taarkin
Wow Conor, you'd be the last person here who I'd think would like Gundam(well, Ike would probably be last really ). Don't ask me why. ------------------ Was I supposed to eat the heads too? 'Cause I took nooo prisioners! Once again, evil is defeated through the use of decorative agricultural technology! Guest Conor
I've always liked anime to a certain degree. I decided to rent endless waltz a few months ago (yes I know I should have started with the series) and I thought it was very cool. I guess giant robots fighting each other has always given me a warm feeling inside.

Rogue Nine
Really, C? PG Wing Zero? That thing is like $200 some-odd. But me still want...drool... Pretty robot thingies are good to build...
Guest Conor
$300 Canadian. I will get it. Just not until I'm rolling in summer job money. When I see this thing has a complete skeletal structure, light-up eyes and chest, 14 long poseable feathers and screws to keep certain parts from flapping around, how could I not want it? Plus, do you have any idea how big the buster rifles are? Actually, I'd prefer and 1/60 D-Hell custom or Sandrock Custom to Wing Zero, but that isn't happening is it? I forgot to mention that the W-zero has fully poseable hands. I'm going to have him picking up a smaller one by the head and giving the finger to the rest. Nute Gunray
i was reading about Endless Waltz and apparently DOROTHY was in it somewhere. I don't remember THAT.
Flying Beastie
Yep. Dorothy is the one who brings the trucks out when the people are ready to revolt. We only see her that once though. Naturally, one of the trucks is gold-coloured (plated, obviously). If she was given a Gundam, guess what colour it'd be. Too bad Hilde only shows up during the closing credits; I was worried about her. The last time we saw her she was being wheeled away on a gurney, aboard a ship that crashed a few eps later. We deserve closure! ------------------ "Do fish-people eat fish, or would that be like humans eating monkeys?" "Humans do eat monkeys. In fact humans eat other humans. . . Taarkin
I still don't think EW was all that great. Even though it was short, the story could have been better. ------------------ Was I supposed to eat the heads too? 'Cause I took nooo prisioners!
