The Duel, in the Time of Episode II

Ashira spoke softly, in a voice that soothed the hurts of the younglings, "No one is turned away from redemption. Free yourself of your base passions that drove you to turn. Passion can lead to rage and fear but it can be controlled. If you are willing then you may. Do or do not, there is no try."

Obi-wan had powered down his lightsaber and gazed at the strong posture of Ashira-Li. Ashira herself had not powered down her saber. Something told her that not everything was as it seemed. She had seen enough of war having led an army on her homeworld and fighting as one of the famous Bushida Handmaidens. She wasn't ready to let her guard down yet until she was sure. For now, she would wait for a response...

Tysy stood up slowly. The Jedi Master had not powered down her lightsaber,

and the young Dark Jedi expected that the Master would not, unless her total

surrender was in order. "What drove me to turn in the first place, do you wonder?

"A desire for power and influence over the galaxy, which I thought I could

achieve through Count Dooku, and then Darth Sidious. A hunger, insatiable,

for more knowledge than my instructors desired to teach me. Haughtiness,

impatience, and anger. Love had a part in it, too. I had--feelings--for one

of my fellow Padawans, back when I still followed the path of Light.

"He told me he felt the same way, but then he was cut down by a thug

intent on stealing some credits. The bandit was in no way affiliated with

the Dark Jedi or the Sith, just a cutpurse who made his living by robbery

and murder. Dima's soul screamed out to me, and I wanted revenge!

"I am weary of this, weary of being a hunter. Trying to be on my guard

against those fellow students who would betray me. All for a chance at

being betrayed in turn, either by Count Dooku or Darth Sidious. No more!

I yield, and may the Force reclaim me after I forsake my dark power!"

Tysy threw her lightsaber hilt at the Master's feet and then lay down

flat before her. She was overcome with a hot weakness, as if she were

about to pass out cold. Due to her turning from the Dark Side and thus

betraying Count Dooku, the Force had left her in a great degree. She was

sapped of strength, this Dvukh, and she prayed the Master would help her

regain it. Not for nothing had Tysy paid this price, never to be number one...

"What in yoda's name is going on!" The man shouted out, still remaining hidden from the group "Tysy! You weak little girl! Dooku was a fool to send someone who was too cowardly that she would fall from the light side so easily!"

Though she could not see him. Ashira-Li threw her still lighted saber at the direction of the voice. The movement was so fast, it looked like it would have cut the former Sith girl's head off but such was her skill that Obi-wan didn't worry. He had seen her do similar moves countless times, especially when she dueled Dooku with Yoda. After the saber returned, Ashira spoke to the voice, "Cowardice is one who would not meet their adversary face on." She turned to Obi-wan and the Sith girl and said, "Let us leave this place."

"Good point.. But my orders aren't to kill you. I'll let the droids keep you busy for a short while." A droid dropship could be heard landing outside(thats if your inside somewhere) and the sound of droid footsteps could be heard, getting louder and suddenly superdroids entered the room.

"I'll take these out." Arvik said, pulling out his green lightsaber. He ran out of the cavern and looked in front of him. A whole army of droids. This may be hard.. he thought. He threw his lightsaber at one of them and it came back to him.. He charged in and slashed at the droids, leaving wires and parts behind. A shot came at him and he blocked it with his lightsaber.

Ashira had a look that was blended with you gotta be kidding me and one of determination. Obi-wan caught the drift and opened himself to the bond they developed as younglings. With a gesture towards the Sith, Ashira asked her to join. Concentrating on the Force, they sent a Force shockwave throughout the cavern that moved little more than half of the droids. Ashira made sure that ot would not affect the Jedi Master that was trying to cut them down. When the dust settled, Ashira tossed the Sith girl's saber and motioned to join in. With a lightning speed, Ashira-Li took off and started swinging her saber in precise movements. Obi-wan followed suit for she had taught him some advanced saber moves, ones that were taught to her not by Yoda, but by an old Bushida master, Senator Petronius of the Avalonian system.

Droids. Tysy had always hated them, except those of the helpful utility variety.

With a whirl of Improved Flurries at her command, she threw herself into the

battle. A coward, was she? No more. She knew she'd die at peace, which

would not be the case if she'd happened to be struck down by Dooku.

Ashira-li motioned Obi-wan and the Sith girl to follow.(I'm calling her that because Ashira doesn't really know her name). Ashira cut a swatch in front and Obi-wan and the Sith girl were to take the sides, creating a piercing point. Ashira didn't seem to work as hard for she was light on her feet, almost as if she were flying.

"I'm no coward. I'm no idiot either. I value my life and I do not want to waste it fighting a match even Dooku could barely win. Two jedi knights must leave before I reveal myself or I will just simply call for more droids and maybe the new sith assassin dooku has trained.."

"Thank you!" Arvik said. He was a very smart and wise young jedi and he just lured the hidden man into giving away his hiding spot. Arvik heard the voice which brought him to a ledge above. ARvik hit him with the butt of his lightsaber and he fell to the land below. Arvik jumped down there too. He saw the revealed man in civilians clothes and a mask. "You're trapped now!" ARvik said. "Surrender now!" Arvik held his green lightsaber to his throat.

"Well done Arvik," Ashira-Li said softly. She looked at the Sith before her with the strange mask. Obi-wan had a strange looke as well. They both had never seen one like it before and wondered why he was wearing one. Obi-wan asked, "You hide behind a mask. What do you fear?"

Arvik had a disgusted look on his face. "I know the sith." He said. "I hate the sith. All through my life, the sith had brought me nothing but trouble. I know it is against my order but I have a great feeling in my heart. Trust me. I will kill you if I need to. Even if it gets me exiled from the jedi. Count Dooku killed my father, and I AM GOING TO KILL YOU IF I NEED TO!" Arvik was serious, he had a look on his face that penetrated his enemy, and he intended to kill him if needed. "Now, surrender your army of droids and get off this planet, or you shall die."

"Wait," Ashira said. She walked up to the Sith on the ground, kneeled and looked him in the face. She said, "We all have fear. Some can use it against you if you let them. Try to discern my fear and maybe you can leave. We will not kill you. It is not the Jedi way."

She stayed in that position waiting. All the while she was going through a technique in her mind. Obi-wan realised what she was getting at and started the same technique. She had taught him and Siri many things the other masters didn't know of.

"I really find it hard to believe that Count Dooku killed your father. Because Dooku only started killing people when the clone wars began and the war only began a month ago. And he's only really killed jedi and I dought you father was one or you wouldn't be here" The man tried to reason "Don't forget Dooku was once a jedi"

The man streched a bit "Plus, killing me right now will only make you as worse as Dooku. You wouldn't want to throw everything away just for the chance to kill me... would you?"

"The Jedi do not believe in killing their prisoners. There is no emotion, there is peace," Obi-wan said. Ashira-Li nodded at him. Standing to her full height which is half a head shorter than Obi-wan, she faced Arvik. She looked at him and said, "Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice in those around you. If you sink to the level of this Sith, then you lost more than your father. You have lost who you are."

Then looking at the Sith girl and asked, "What would you do?"

Arvik chuckled. "Well, good bye, sith.." He said and sent the lightsaber straight through the Sith's head. He turned to everyone around him, and sheathed his lightsaber. "Don't worry." Arvik said. "He is just in a state of shock. He didn't really die. The lightsaber was just sending a beam of light, and it must have shocked him so much that he fainted. Trust me, I kindly believe in the ways of the jedi, but the part about my father being killed by Dooku was true. But I don't let my emotions get ahead of me. Now let's leave before he wakes up."
