Isaul
Finally got myself a copy of TSL, installed it, ran it, and about 2 minutes into the prologue or whatever on the ebon hawk, it just completely locked up and I had to reboot. Updated my graphics/sound drivers, disabled every non-critical process, ran it again, got maybe 5-10 minutes into it and the same thing happened. There seemed to be no pattern to when it would happen... sometimes it would happen sooner than others, it could happen when i was running along, or in the middle of a conversation, or interacting with an object. When i finally finished the prologue and got to Peragus, I was able to go for a bit longer... maybe 15-20 minutes, but eventually it would still lock up and force me to reboot. stingerhs
hmm, could you describe in a little bit more detail as to what happens when it crashes?? for example, does the hard drive suddenly get very active, do you get an error message (like an exception or something similar), do you get one of those useless Micro$oft error report popups, does the entire system freeze up with no response (but you can still see things on screen), do you get a BSOD, or does the entire system just go black and nothing responds except the power switch?? Isaul
I get no error message of any kind, no increased hard drive activity... the screen just freezes where it was at and stops responding... can still see things on the screen but it's frozen... the sound effects/music stop and occasionally I'll start to hear like some kind of buzzing/static in my speakers. Wont accept any keyboard/mouse commands (alt+f4, ctrl+alt+del), have to hit the power/reset button.

Det. Bart Lasiter
Try turning off V-Sync and turn down your sound options, it's currently at EAX 3.0, which is one of the best 3D sound codecs (is it a codec?), and usually only enabled with a Creative Audigy2+ sound card (i.e Audigy2, Audigy4, X-Fi). stingerhs
^^^^ no, its not a codec. its an environmental simulation system for audio. it just adds to the realism of the sound fx.
Isaul
Turned off v-sync and turned down the sound option (even though my card is an Audigy 2 ZS), no luck... I think the next thing I'm gonna try is running it on another system, see if it's my system or if I got a bad copy...
