SlackerZ
Yeah, so I just got this brilliant game and am really having fun with it. Anyway, just got a couple of questions. 1. Is it a MUST to have both fleets [land and space] to conquer a planet with either of the sides? 2. What do I build first and what strategy do I use starting out with a few planets? 3. Also, sometimes, I can't place my space fleet in the center orb of a planet? Why is that? 4. How do I defend against the enemy, should I just bring my fleet to the frontlines where instead of defending on each planet? 5. How does the garrison thingy work? Thanks in advance, really appreciate it. May the force be with you!
Spiralarchitech
Hello, glad you are enjoying EAW i'll try to give you some help. 1.For empire yes you need to conquer space before you can do land, with rebels you can launch a raid fleet which can sneak past space defense's (check the manual for info) 2.All depends on you, i normally use my best planet for ship producing and unit production my other planets i normally garrison the land with shields a mine maybe laser towers and a few unit production buildings and about 4-5 ground units to beat of any invasion, you could try to garrison space as well with a station and a few units though its harder to beat a larger enemy force in space than it is on land imo. 3.Not to sure i have'nt really had this problem. 4. You should always have a good fleet that you can use to invade enemy space with, also comes in handy for beating back a large enemy fleet, as a game goes on you might need 2 or 3 large fleets as your sphere of influence increases. 5. Certain land buildings (ones that you use to produce units) and space stations (depending on the level of the station) get free units to aid you in a battle, the units structures are covered in the manual. Hope this helps.
Darth Alec
Yeah, so I just got this brilliant game and am really having fun with it. Anyway, just got a couple of questions. 1. Is it a MUST to have both fleets [land and space] to conquer a planet with either of the sides? No, you don't. You only need control of the ground to have the planet, but you must have space to go land, with the empire atleast. Rebels can use raid fleets to ignore space. 2. What do I build first and what strategy do I use starting out with a few planets? This depends on strategy, no big and easy answer here. 3. Also, sometimes, I can't place my space fleet in the center orb of a planet? Why is that? In the centre orb? Do you meen the land orb or the centre space orb? 4. How do I defend against the enemy, should I just bring my fleet to the frontlines where instead of defending on each planet? Set large fleets at chokepoints in space, but keep landprotection on all planets. 5. How does the garrison thingy work? Every building that can make a unit (baracks, factories) have the basic unit as a garrison (stormtrooper, AT-ST, T-2 tank etc....), so have atleast one such building one each planet for basic protection. Thanks in advance, really appreciate it. May the force be with you! No problem, I'm happy to help.
SlackerZ
Guys, I think I have a problem here, I can't see Mon Mothma anywhere, I clicked her icon twice but I can' find her. Is this a bug?
wedge2211
She might be buried in a fleet somewhere. Try the option to show heroes at the top of unit stacks.
