Everything starts OK. 10-20 minutes later... it FREEZES (always)

After 10-20minutes it always freezes.

Does it freeze up everytime you are playing? Does the gam generate any errors codes? Is there a process that you do when playing, that leads to the problem? If you could give more info, that would be great.

I have noticed that EaW doesnt like anything running in the background, otherwise it can create random crashes. I also think ati have released a new set of drivers, so its worth getting those, but I recomend that you remove the old ones first.

It freezes every time I play it, sometimes 30min. into the game.

No error codes, I have to RESET the PC every time.

There is no specific patern to my playing which would lead to these freezes.

I have removed all background programs, I even removed all "Start-up Items" programs through "msconfig" in order to have the game completely alone.

I downloaded 2 days ago the latest Audio & Video drivers.

I've also tried the lowest Video settings and even with no Audio.

I have also installed the 1.03 patch.

Please inform me if there is any other info you might need.

This is very very odd. You're settings all seem fine.

First. Uninstall the game, then re-install it. Best thing to do, and it might sound silly is to instal the 1.01 patch, then 1.02 and then 1.03 - It might not be that, but lets just cancel that out.

Secondly, if you can run a dxdiag for me, and post it, I will see if any of the tech guys @ Petro can take a look, but they are very busy atm.

To run a dxdiag

click on START

then on RUN

then type in the box that appears dxdiag <<< like that, all lower case, 1 word.

hit enter. if it asks you to assign anything, click ok. then wait a bit.

Once it is does, you will see a save button, so save it as a txt file and post the results
