Mitchio
Hi, I am new to this stuff and all but not new to somethings. Whats happen, I have got this reskining pack, reskin2 or something. Aiming to make my guy Yoda-Vandarish. I dont know how to rekin, the files are TGA. Can someone give me a thread link or help thanks?
The_Maker
Well, if the mod is for TSL you would create a folder called "Override" (no quotation marks) under X:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/SWKotOR2 with X standing for the drive you installed it to. I will assume you have installed it to your C drive which will be under my computer from the start menu. Once you have created the folder called "Override" just copy and paste the .tga files into "Override" or click n' drag. If you are using it for Kotor just drop the "2" at the end of the title, TSL = The Sith Lords aka Kotor 2. Hope that helps!
Mitchio
I am using Kotor 1. And I just realised in this reskin pack the yoda one is a Kmm file... Any help on that?
Mitchio
Ok, I have downloaded this reskin pack. It has all these tga files and a readme thats crap and a kmm file. The kmm file is the one I want as it is a Yoda reskin. Could i have a simple walkthrough to make my main guy yoda.
Jackel
The KMM file is/was part of a program that seems to have fallen out of favour thanks to stoffe -mbk-'s patcher, it was nothing more then a help file to load up the mod when using the KMM program. The TGA files are what actually change the skins to look different. Step 1: Drop the tga files in to your override folder (if you havent got one create one). Step 2: Load up KSE ( http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php ) Step 3: Open your save game file (check the name of the save game to make sure it is the one you want.) Step 4: Go to Appearance. Click on it and a list will load on the right hand side. Scroll down it until you see "Unique_Vandar". Click on "Change Appearance" then click on "Commit Changes". Step 5: Load up KOTOR, load your save game, you should now hopefully look like Yoda. PLay the game.

RedHawke
Mitchio please do not ask things in multiple places, you have asked this in multiple threads now all about the same or similar Mod Texture pack and Yoda skin issues/questions. I am merging all these threads into one, please stop making so many threads all about the same or similar topics. This isn't Instant Messaging answers will come but they will take time. And also in the bottom left corner in Kotor 1 theres ur stats and face. Can I change that to yoda? That is called your character portrait and you should try step #6 in this tutorial here. Mitchio
When I try and broad the ebon hawk in Davicks hanger for the first time, it goes to the cutscene and freezes.
RedHawke
Things like this are bound to happen as you are not using a normal PC appearance. You were not supposed to play the game as Yoda/Vandar. The game will have hiccups, it is the price we pay when we mess with things. They are mostly unavoidable too.
Mitchio
So if i change back for this scene?
RedHawke
So if i change back for this scene? It might work... If it does and you are bound and determined to keep playing as Vandar's Model then your game will contantly be interrupted by cutscene crashes and other bugs and you needing to exit the game and change your appearance out. Too annoying for my tastes, hence why I use the more stock PC appearances. Even my Revan's Robe Mods for K1 if you are wearing the Masked Revan outfit you have to change out of that robe for the Leviathan Malak confrentation or it messes up that cutscene. Like I said above... "it is the price we pay when we mess with things."

Mitchio
Lol, Oh well, Guess I will have to start a new. What is the point in having cool things if they dont work!
RedHawke
What is the point in having cool things if they dont work! I hate to do this again, but I did say... "it is the price we pay when we mess with things." Bugs, crashes, and other such game hiccups are all part of the process. Some things work wonderfully, some don't, sometimes you never know why. This makes you do a lot of this.
