Rogue Nine Posted October 14, 2001 Posted October 14, 2001 I think it's the billowy effect that really makes the coat intimidating. Me likes.
Nute Gunray Posted October 15, 2001 Posted October 15, 2001 maybe they're actually getting out of your way because they don't want any of your stupid rubbing off on them.
Taarkin Posted October 15, 2001 Posted October 15, 2001 Trenchcoats only look cool in movies and cartoons. All I want for Christmas is a new video card. 8MB = suck. And Close Combat II and III if they're still around. ------------------ You're supposed to be dumpster-diving for ham scraps, you six-piece chicken McNobody! edlib Posted October 15, 2001 Author Posted October 15, 2001 I always liked Columbo's coat he always wore. Not a trench coat, but cool, nonetheless, in a slovenly sort of way. Which suits me fine!
Guest Zoom Rabbit Posted October 15, 2001 Posted October 15, 2001 I always thought the flight jackets on Battlestar Galactica were pretty nifty.
edlib Posted October 15, 2001 Author Posted October 15, 2001 MMMMMMMmmmmm,... suede. I agree. I always wanted one of those when I was a kid. I did buy a brown suede jacket (w/ lotsa fringe) a while back when I was in my "Hey! Lookit meee! I'm a ROCK STAR" phase. I'm doing MUCH better now, thank you... The jacket has left my possesion.

There's a time and place for a trenchcoat and every day life isn't that place. Just like you can't wear a tux to pick up some delicious Taco Bell tacos, you can't walk down the street in a trenchcoat and not get into a gun battle.

I'll probably ask for Battle for Naboo and Galactic Battlegrounds since I know they probably can't afford a PS2 plus a game and still be able to get my sister something. lol hmm...when is the starfighter demo coming out so I can test it on my pc...

Darth Sceltor Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 If all goes well, I will have GameCube and Rogue Leader by Christmas, so I will ask for ETERNAL DARKNESS. And money. And if possible, an amp and subs for my car.
JR2000Z Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 I had a dream last night that I had a Sega Dreamcast and a regular Nintindo. Not that I want them of course...its just a wierd dream.
Cmdr. Cracken Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 But how many times to you get into a gun battle? I don't. not often anyways. like once a year.
JR2000Z Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 D00d, that's they have 7-11's here for a reason.
Flying Beastie Posted October 18, 2001 Posted October 18, 2001 *holds up a gun* These things? Never helpful. --Buffy Summers I'm more of a hand-to hand guy. BTW, a "trenchcoat" is what Columbo wore. The leather coats are usually called either "coat" (as distinct from "jacket") or "duster." Trenchcoats are more durable, but less stylish. Billowy leather coats are great for people who want to look tough (sometimes, without the bother of actually being tough ), while trenchcoats are traditional "guy-in-suit" garb. suit = evil ------------------ "Don't f_ck with the Jedi Master, son." --Mark Hamill
