UDM
Just a few random thoughts off the top of my head, in case anyone's interested How about making broadsword 500 and g_saberrealisticcombat 2 an option that you can enable or disable? (btw why doesnt saberrealisticcombat work online?) And how about using saber moves to replace the melee, so we can actually parry one another's melee attacks too ? ie. a mixture of animations of all stances used
Sushi_CW
The idea about making a more complicated melee system has been brought up before... look for the Melee suggestions thread. The biggest roadblock to this is the lack of suitable animations available. UDM
I thought of that because of the whole crotch saber thing. When I saw the saber stuck in my balls, I tried attacking and it looked like I was just swinging my fists around (albeit with saber stuck in balls). And I thought it looked really cool. And it was like "you know what if we just removed the saber, and called it 'Melee'" But well, I think our priority should be on the saber combat anyway first
razorace
well, actually I think it's more an issue of me not having enough time to impliment everything we could possibly do.
Vruki Salet
I was just swinging my fists around (albeit with saber stuck in balls) That's not called "melee" that's called "flailing around in pain and horror." You didn't know JKA behavior could get so sophisticated, did you? (Really though some of the one-handed swing moves might make interesting unarmed combat moves.)
