Well some Stormys are real soliders like Kyle Katarn, when he was one, and his squad but most of them suck so I'd go with clones cause they were bred for war. Stormys were found and trained out of real guys. So I'd go with Clones. Clone Commandos more but thats just me.

I'd say that clones are better. In BF2 it makes it sound like the stormtrooper armor and weapons are better, but at least the clones could hit targets, unlike the stormtroopers, judging from the movies.

Stay on topic.

And just so everyone knows, most Stormtroopers are clones as well... only a small percentage of them are made up of conscripts/recruits.

But clearly, Clones Troopers FTW...

Right. I prefer clones (Epi. III) but storms are pretty good too maybe the storms in the movies aren't the best in the world? But heck what do I know.

Listen, Clones are better anytime, anywhere! How Im ok with Kyle but seriosly, when did the rest of the bunch do anything right?

All they do is just getting killed in the movies, and in the games. So stormys 0 Clones 66 :)

Nice one alan frost. I like the touch Clones 66. Order 66??

Also the stormys with Kyle like Sgt. Maj. Hong and his Squad of stormys they kicked ass as well. Read Solider for the Empire and you'll see what I mean.

As I've never played that game, my only knowledge is of stormtroopers comes from the movies, really. Of course stormtroopers are good on BF/2, but that's only when you're playing as them. :)

urgh, im gonna have to go against the motion and say the stormtroopers. Like bomberman said, people like kyle katarn were once them, and when the clones got all imperialised, they had their weapons and armour upgraded. And also, with the ability to think freely on the battlefield (unlike the clones) it would grant the stormtroopers a tactical advantage.

Again, like I said, most Stormtroopers *are* clones. So most would not be able to think freely. And actually, the ability to think freely would not be an advantage. It would allow them their emotions, fear, anger, etc. to interfere with their mission.

and also be able to determine the best form of attack in a combat situation. Anyway, the only legion that stayed the same after the change from clones to Imperials was the 501st. Emotions would also give them the will to live i.e if they had family or friends, they would be more determined to survive than the clones, which, ironically rhymes with drones.

If you listened to what the Kaminoians said in AotC, they can still think and respond, unlike droids. They just don't have the emotion that causes a lot of real soldiers to lose it in battle. Clones make an ultimate army.

if they mad ethe ultimate army, why were they changed when the empire was formed? i doubt they would make their army worse...

Well, they did make it worse, actually. Incompetence took a toll on the Imperial forces as unworthy hosts were chosen as templates for new clones. Officers would pick, say their cousin, over someone better fit for cloning.

Thats not true they have emotions just they dont know what they are and therefore dont respond to them most of the time. And in this case im talking about love read thes books: both republic commando books and The Cestus Deception. they arnt taught how to cope with emotions or what they are or mean.
