0DarthRevan0
I was just wondering what it meant that the exile was a wound in the force and how s/he became this.
jonathan7
*****************BEWARE *SPOILERS* BELOW****************** Well at malachor pretty much everyone present except for a small few died. due to the mass ammount of death and feeling all the death's through the force (like obi wan in ANH but on a bigger scale!) to stop himself being killed by it all the exile cut himself off from the force - this meant he was a hole in the force and so the only way he could feel the force again was by having other force sensetives around him - this was also why the exile was the only jedi who could fight darth nihilus as, the dark lord couldnt drain the exile's force as he didnt have any! Revan had arranged for the mandalorians to be met there at malachor 5 by republic forces made up of all those who he knew were against him or he was unsure of as he knew bao durr's mass shadow generator would kill them... this would also feed the darkside power on malachor! in the game it mentions that revan himself kills mandalore (leader of the mandalorians) malachor was the final act of the manalorian wars... if you wanna find out more visit here; http://www.lucasarts.com/games/swkotor_sithlords/indexDark.html and go to game info then chronicles and read through all 12 of them for more background to kotor 2 TSL cheers to jimbo fett for explaining how to do the spoiler thing
Point Man
Wow! Great question. This will feed a lot of discussion. Let me present my take on the whole thing. The Exile somehow had an amazing ability to bond with others through the Force. It is why she had such strong influence over others. Master Vrook noticed this during her training as an apprentice on Dantooine and recognized that it could be used to draw the Force energy from others. At the Battle of Malachor V, the Exile ordered the activation of the mass shadow generator that killed countless Mandalorians, as well as numerous Jedi. With her ability to form such intense bonds with others, the pain she felt at the destruction of so many lives resonated through her, causing a "wound in the Force." In order to eliminate that pain, she subconsciously severed her connection to the Force. Darth Nihilis happened to be on or in the region of Malachor V when this happened and felt the disturbance in the Force. He corrupted it into a means of feeding off the Force energy in others. However, unlike the Exile, he was consumed by a hunger to continue feeding off others' force energy. The Exile was the only one who could defeat Nihilis because Nihilis could not draw Force energy off her, but instead, only nothingness.

0DarthRevan0
So are you saying that Kreia or Darth Sion couldnt kill Nihilus if they tried?
jonathan7
So are you saying that Kreia or Darth Sion couldnt kill Nihilus if they tried? yup, part of the story is that kreia uses the exile to exact her revenge on Nihilus and Sion for betraying her.... she wasnt powerful enough to fight Nihilus as he could of trained her force power, from what i gather there was cut content from the game where nihilus and sion fight... sion limps off having got his ass kicked. the exile was the only one who could really fight nihilus because of the whole wound/hole in the force thing
Revnant
What I dont get is krei was saying he/she was getting his connection back. There is also diolgue that he/she states to the jedi he was reastablished his/her connection. Kriea also said it herself in some form.
Vaelastraz
Not everything Kreia says has to be true.. not even after you defeat her. She might as well be wrong in MANY things, especially when talking about the Exile and the future.
MrVorlon
So are you saying that Kreia or Darth Sion couldnt kill Nihilus if they tried? Hell no! Nothing can stop that guy, but death itself. If I remember, Kriea calls the Exile "the Death of the Force" (someone correct me). Even Nihilus can't feed on Death. Feeding on the Exile caused him to "choke" I suppose. Nihilus has possibly transcended the label of mere Sith Lord and approaches Sith God. An entire planet dies because he (it?) felt hungry. Kriea and Sion are just food to something like Nihilus. So anyone who is force adept are just chicken wings for him. Indeed anything alive within Nihilus' vicinity will slowly waste away and die as they satiate its hunger. Good thing Nihilus is gone.
