scummtr

Hey all!

 

Can someone please tell me how to run scummtr? (It doesn't run in MS-DOS and in Windows it closes after a split second...)

Try using the Quick and Easy front-end, you should be able to play games using this. ScummVM is peculiar; on my old computer it ran fine at first, then when it updated it would only run in strange sizes, so I used Q&E. I think the problem with yours is that it's starting up in full screen, which I remember caused problems for me way back when.

 

Good luck anyway, I'm sure someone can help you if Q&E doesn't work.

Well, thanks for trying elTee but I've downloaded ScummVMQuickAndEasy and ScummVMToolBox and failed with both (the ToolBox didn't even ran - said it's missing a .DLL file). The Q&E seems to be intended to run SCUMM games, are you sure it's also possible to run the scummtr program with it?

Any other options available to run scummtr?

Never mind, I solved it using the MS-DOS prompt in Windows.

 

Anyone happen to know where there might be an explanation on how to use the scummtr?

Well, Iv'e managed to figure out how to export and import the txt files of the games, but what program should I use to change the text? If I use a program like the Winword I can't import the file back to the game (it says that there are empty lines [even though there aren't any...]).

Ah you mean scummtr, the translation tool. Try using a simple editor like notepad.
