Hey guys,

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE JUST STARTED PLAYIGN KOTOR 2 DON"T READ THIS POST IT CAN RUIN INGAME PLOTS!

Ok guys You know how later or early in the game ( Dependign on how ya play ) Bao Dur becomes a jedi, though because of his arm lots of clothes are unavialble,

Now In my games I like thinks looking good, all the war suits look stupid when ehs weilding a Light saber, and also So does his normal suit,

I was was curious if anyone knows a simpel way around this program or has made robes for him. ( Good robes, not dark )

Last I checked on PC Game mods there was none,

Thanks Mitchio Out!

a jedi robe with Bao-Dur's arm, i don't think it's possible, not even playing with mdloops and replacing some meshes in Bao-Dur's armor morels (BAODUR_B*.mdl) or the robe's models (I/M/N body variation), you could try though. i'm not sure but you could have trouble with the power emitter in the artificial arm, you could, let's see, make it so that when wearing robes he can't use the artificial arm, if you indeed have trouble putting the artificial arm in the robe's model you could put just the metal termination attached to the arm without the emitter and the hand, then have a new appearance.2da row locking the equippable slot (like handmaiden switches from fixed to body variable), if it works it would be fair i think :) i don't have any idea if someone came up with a simplier idea

I think it is already a mod like this.

ChAiNz.2da made a Bao-Dur Jedi Armor which we find on polar zone on Telos (where Atris is hidden.

But, it isn't a robe.

You should ask him, because, we can't see screenshots, PcGameMods' Server isn't available.

If not, you can go at his Website

It didn't verify, but, I think which he his present...

it would need someone good at modeling, the biggest problem i can see is that there's no way i know to preserve both the flapping of the jedi robe and the power emitter of Bao-Dur's arm. besides that i think it's only a matter of replacing meshes in the original model, there may be a few but then it's done. then again if no ones ever come up with it so far i have my doubts it can be done at all :(

You could edit the robe .UTI files and remove the unuseable by Bao-Dur line in it's properties. This would cover up his arm though. If that's a problem I don't think there is anything you can do. Maybe completely remodeling one of the robes so it has his arm on it and then retexturing it would work, but I think that would stop the texture on his arm from being animated. I don't know that's a tough question.

there's no such item prop in uti files, actually i was just going to ask cos'i can't remember where is it that you set something unusable by Bao-Dur. i'm giving it a try but at best it'll come out something like what i said before.

no use, mdloops can't remove all of the left arm's meshes, i even tried to keep them and just replace the textures with a transparent tga, i could see through the left arm, but also through part of the robe behind the invisible arm so it's useless, we need to chop that arm. up until someone comes up with a new tool it can't be done :(

Well if you edit the mesh of the robe you might be able to, because as I recall they had a modded armor that was made souly for being something baodur could only wear and you could see his arm with it on!:D

P.S.: Hey, shem where would I find that mod up there for baodur, the one where it has him in a jedi robe?

he didn't want the armor, he was after a jedi robe, robes not armors, with Bao-Dur's arm on it, and that still can't be done.

I was just using the armor that I was talking about as an example, and also an experienced modeler can probley do it, but who knows!:D

i do! :D currently the tools out there can only do so much. soon maybe they'll come up with what it takes. it is possible to reskin one of the Bao-Dur's models used for armors, and make it work as a robe but what he asked can't be done yet.

Actually it is an edit of a specific mod that allows Bao-Dur to wear robes. Shem has already answered as to how to do this... I asked him a while ago. ;)

You will share the secret of this one or I will crush you! :vadar:
Well, since you put it that way, I will have to tell you what I did. Being crushed and all is not my idea of fun. :p

As you may notice from past experience, editing models is not my thing. I do know how to use MDLOps, but that's where it ends.

So what I did is download this mod.

http://ds1.pcgamemods.com/core/15179/maul22.zip

Svosh modified the Bao-Dur head model to fit the robes for this mod.

I will write it out for everybody to understand. I figured you would know what to with the rest, RedHawke.

Take the PMHT01.mdl and .mdx files and change the names to P_BaoDurH.mdl and .mdx files.

Since my scripting skills are limited because there is a script that makes sure that Bao-Dur can’t equip Jedi Robes (a mod idea with what I did with Svosh’s permission :D), I change the appearance.2da files of Bao-Dur. Columns B and C are the best choices since you can equip items in those classes without restricting Force Powers and Dexterity.

For column B, change the appearance files to the model and skin names to the Jedi Robes. Pick one of them and use these names, PMBIM (for model) and PMBI (for texture) files.

Make a .uti file with the basic clothing class and change it to a texture variation number that is not used. I chose 71. I also recommend that you put in the properties section that only Bao-Dur can wear it. You can have fun and give defense bonuses, regeneration points and regeneration Force points, basically making it feel like a Jedi robe.

Use the TGA robe file you want to use for him and it should be named (if you are using the same number I chose) PMBI71.tga. Make sure it has an icon. In this case, pick out the robe icon that matches the robe you picked out and number it ia_cloths_071.tga.

For column C, change the appearance files to the model and skin names to the Jedi Robes. Pick one of them and use these names, PMBIM (for model) and PMBI (for skin) files.

The appearance change in column C uses the Defense Bonus 4 Class model of clothing. But there is a way around it so you can make a file that doesn’t restrict Force Powers. Make a .uti file with the minor uniform class and change it to a texture variation number that is not used. Choosing the minor uniform class is important because that way it doesn’t restrict Force Powers or Dexterity. Again, I also recommend that you put in the properties section that only Bao-Dur can wear it. You can have fun and give defense bonuses, regeneration points and regeneration Force points, basically making it feel like a Jedi robe.

Use the TGA robe file you want to use for him and it should be named (if you are using the same number I chose) PMBI71.tga. Make sure it has an icon. In this case, pick out the robe icon that matches the robe you picked out and number it ia_class4_071.tga.

Of course I have a dark side version of the robes. Just do the steps again, but use another number. I used 72 for that one and used a dark side robe template for it.

This should work out for you. Hopefully I didn’t forget a step. I’m writing this on the seat of my pants since RedHawke threaten me (just kidding ;)).

Thanks Shem... :D I had completely forgotten about this mod. I didn't know the head was fixed! *Dances a jig!* -RH
