Nema_Suneimi
My specs: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=166559 -- I've been trying a reinstall after various probs that seem to be due to corrupted files, but can't seem to connect with ftp.lucasarts.com either through the patcher or through the support site. It just hangs and hangs. That's very lame. http://support.lucasarts.com/patches/kotor2.htm I downloaded the 1.0b patch from another gaming site but when it gets to processing the "dialog.tlk" file there is an error about an old file missing. I've rebooted the system, etc., but no go. I checked the LucasArts FAQs and it says: Q: When I try to install the update for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, it stops at 94-95% and says, Old file not found. A: You will get this error if you have installed the NO CD crack for the game. You must uninstall the game, do a fresh install from the original CD's, then install the patch. The update will not patch a cracked version of the executable. What NO CD crack? I always play with my disks. -- There's another patch thread from several months ago in the forums and I didn't want to revive a dead thread, but I'm not able to resolve this problem. Torthane
I would suggest that you do a clean install. In other words uninstall the game and delete any files you associated with it and try reinstalling it. That's the best advice I can give you. I hope it works. Nema_Suneimi
Yea, a clean install worked, although I still couldn't access the ftp.lucasarts.com site. Now to try to get all my mods back into action...
Det. Bart Lasiter
Do you have any mods installed that modified dialog.tlk (Force power mods and things like that)? At any rate, the 1.0b patch is buggy (hence the b) and you don't need it anyway.
