Warhammer: Mark of Chaos

As a guy who's, when it comes to the Warhammer universe, only played the three Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War games (Dawn of War, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade) I am very interested to see the non-40000 Warhammer universe. The game has recently hit the stores in North America, so it probably won't be long before it appears in my country as well and I intend to give it a try when it does.

 

So, is there anybody else here interested in this game? What are your expectations when this game is concerned?

Is there anybody who's tried it already? What are your impressions on the game? Is it worth playing, or is the advertisement better than the actual game?

I've played Dawn of War as well, and really enjoyed it. If this gets a good reception then I might give it a look. Looking at the HUD, it looks like a pretty conventional RTS setup, similar to DoW. I'll give the demo a try before buying anything.

 

I played the 40k tabletop game infrequently, years ago, but lost interest. Do you know if the Warhammer universe is actually directly related to the 40k universe somehow? A lot of the races seem to be the same, or similar, just with medieval weapons instead of sci-fi technology.

I haven't played any of the 40k computer games but I'm a Warhammer fantasy veteran on the tabletop. Dunno if I'll get this game, the warhammer game I'm looking forward to most is warhammer online, I can't when it's out or if it already is.

 

Maybe I'll try the demo, see if it's true to the tabletop game.

I tryed the demo, and that was a disapointment:( And at DreamHack they had a monter where you could try the game, but i didnt find any skrimish option, only campaign and multiplayer. I did look forward to this, but of what i seen this far i dont know if i will get it any longer
