Those of you who love the Psychonauts soundtrack — which, really, should be all of you — will be ecstatic to hear that a brand new edition has been released. But this isn't any old new edition; no, this new edition is comprised of the game's cutscene music, minus the sound effects and voices!

 

 

Yes, this is truly an album that you haven't heard before, except of course while you've been playing the game. Due to the cutscene music being 'burnt' into the cutscene videos along with the visuals, sound effects, and voice acting, getting the music by itself was impossible. But now, you can listen to it to your heart's content!

 

Relive Coach Oleander's stimulating drill introduction, the downfall of Dr Loboto and his asylum, and all those other moments you loved. Yes, this is what any Psychonauts fan must have. And what's more, it's only $14 (£7)!

 

Double Fine is currently taking preorders and will start shipping this beauty on December 18th; you never know, it could be at your door in time to make an excellent Christmas present. Do note that this soundtrack only contains the music from the cutscenes (which still amounts to well over 40 minutes of music), so to enjoy the full experience you'll also want the slightly cheaper Original Psychonauts Soundtrack.
