Hi, i just wanted to start a new thread to ask if anyone knows what is happening with the M478 kotor 2 restoration project. I'm following TSLRP, but i can't seem to get on the M478 website, as i'm sure no one else can ever.

So, does anyone know anything regarding this, as i'm highly anticipating this!

You also can find more info on the M4-78 thread at lucas forums here and at the Team-Gizka forums M4-78 sub-forum here. I hope this helps you out a little more becasue I like you am eagerly awaiting those two mods to come out and I am always looking for ways to find out when they will be done. Anyway like I said up there I hope this helps you out and hopefully you can find the info you are looking for.;)

I can't see how it would be easy to restore a planet that was cut so early in development, but seeing as how Team Bantha is trying to do just that, I salute them.

Well there are lots of rescources in the game that helps them map out what it was supposed to look like. They are also to my knowledge using the xbox game's rescources to get some of the stuff that was not in the PC release so they can do a heck of a lot more that way.

That's a very interesting way to do it. I had no idea that the Xbox version could help, since I had no knowledge that the developers left any cut content in the Xbox version. Are they just using it for reference, or are they actually extracting data from the Xbox version and implementing it into the mod, do you know?

I think they are doing a little bit of both actually. I know that the M4-78 modules were taken out of the Xbox version but beyond that I am not sure if they have used the Xbox version for anything else.

I just noticed that they have the unfinished modules for the droid planet and factory salvaged from the Xbox version in the downloads section of Team Gizka's site. I didn't know it was possible to extract a console game's info and implement it onto a PC version.

X-box's are generally the easiest console to mod as they are a stripped down PC designed from top to bottom to maximize on game play and for no other purpose. Not only can you mod the software of an X-box you can also mod the hardware switching in and upgrading the harddrive and a few other components. It actually makes the most logical sense because it is a "Squishy"soft product. In fact the X-box's internal operating system is Windows/DOS based.
