cant find model

anyway,go here http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Even_More_NPCs_Mod;22812

what is the problem is that when i spawn a character it says it cant load the model buit the character appears as a stormtrooper with the weapon he posseses(for example,when i spawn saesee tinn,he is usually a stormtrooper with a green lightsaber)and how does the author in the screenshots have the npcs not looking like stormtroopers?

Hey there azimnj,

 

A retail version is the full game that you buy somewhere. As regards to that NPC mod, you have to have the models in order for the NPC files to work. Example, Saesee Tiin. You have to have a downloaded copy of that model and put it in the "base" folder in order for it to work in conjunction with the NPC mod. Hope that clears things up for you.

No, the NPC Mod is fine. You just have to download the individual player models in order to use it. Ridiculous to have something you can't use without the models, I know, but that is what is going on. Most of the player models can be found at jediknight2.filefront.com.

well thank you for telling me that but i have a question:where do you find the mace windu model and the clones and battle droids,as well as the jangofetts and boba fett and zam?

 

this mod using old JO's models so maybe you can upgrade Models by your self just change player model's name in NPC file ;)

also you cant have all of them in base anyways you can delete all NPC name files you dont want from Mod too

look for new models

by changing the playermodels name,you mean write one and replace it with the one thats there,in that file?

but I try

open your "npcs1.PK3" file by "PakScape"

and drag npc file to Desktop

then open by WordPad

now you seeing what model using

ShaakTi is NPC name so when you spawn in game type

"npc spawn ShaakTi"

He using shaaktivm model for this NPC pack

"playerModel shaaktivm"

but you can change model name like this (exmple)

"playerModel morebettershaaktimodel"

then new model spawn as ShaakTi

I hope someone explain to him better English

so i replace the old one with the new one,right?

but you have to change model name correct

example (you can pick what ever you want model pk3 but I use HS-anakin model this time)

open HS-anakin by "PakScape" and open models/players/hs_anakin

and open "model_default" file by "WordPad"

and you see lines like this

hips,models/players/hs_anakin/hips.tga

HS-anakin's correct model name is "hs_anakin" if there is other model in pk3

you can use folder's name too like "hs_anakin_e2" ete

so you can replace model name in NPC file with hs_anakin

then HS-anakin spawn in game ;)

wait,there is one more problem.on your post of changing shaak ti,you said open by word pad.so that npc file is an unknown file,you mean to change it with wordpad,right?

did you copy and past to your DeskTop and open by WordPad ??

when I open looks like this for me

left click on NPC file and "Open With ..."

then "Choose the program" "WordPad" "ok" ;)

i have done that,thank you for the help.what does surf off robe torso_robe or something mean.when you open toonces_2 npc file,there are those things.and how can i get anybody in the model pack to have 2 blaster pistols?

and I dont know about much surf off file or line but ...

I know how to NPC have dual pistols

you can just replace this line and change (model, NPC, snd, sndcombat, sndextra, sndjedi's name what ever you use)

NPC must be ENEMY to have Dual Pistols ;)
