[Spoilers] What did you think the ending was going to be like?

Ok, like the Q asks, how did you think the game was going to end?

 

Me, I thought there might be a sick twist where Crueller was in on the whole thing and you realize you're going at it alone. Or that everything was going to turn out to be in your/Raz's head or a dream.

I just didn't expect the jet. That, and that Raz takes off the goggles...or that his hair would look like THAT.

Actually for the most part everything I thought would happen happened...except for Raz's OMG HAIR and Truman getting kidnapped at the end.

Um...I figured Raz would become a Psychonaut, but no, I did not expect to see his hair. o_O And I didn't expect Truman to be kidnapped. Or that Lili was the daughter of the Grand Head of the Psychonauts? I think. We didn't know that before, did we? I haven't played the whole game in so long I can barely remember.

I don't think Truman Zanotto was mentioned as head of Psychonauts before the ending cinematic. Then again, with a lot of stories, particularly ones where you're the hero and save the world/universe, your love is some princess/someone real important.

 

I agree about the hair. Didn't expect so much purple, either.

One of my friends thought that Sahsa would really turn out to be the bad dude or somthing. So it was funny, cuz I had beaten the game before her, and she's all

"I dcant believe they made the villan so obliveous!"

and I'm like, "No, dude, just play it!"

Now she's a big time sahsh fan girlXD

 

I also kinda expected Raz's dad to be the one behind most of the mayhem, but I was proven wronge... Oh so wrongXD

I considered Sasha turning out evil, but played the game as it went, hoping that that wouldn't be the case.

 

Once the brain-stealing started and Oleander was confirmed as the baddy, that's when I considered that maybe some of the other Psy agents were in cahoots (sp?). Afterall, a mindf**k with a twist would play into the whole "Mind Game" (pun intended).

I had read the spoilers before playing the game, so I expected just about all the plot twists (except El Odio. But the beard gave that away. XD)

 

If I hadn't, I swear I would have expected Dogen to save the day by blowing Morry's head off or something though.

Dogen would turn out to be a big hero, Sasha and Milla would get together, and that Loboto would come back in some weird way.

 

I also expected Coach Oleander to be under mind control from Loboto.

After hearing about the cheerleaders' suicide attempts when recovering their *cough* brains, I thought that when I started a new game and would try to talk to them, it might change their behavior and dialogue.

Nope, unless someone knows how.

I just finished the game yesterday (for the first time) on my xbox. After the Thief series (just the first two PC games, Deadly Shadows wasn't to my liking), it's probably my favourite game. Freaking brilliant!

 

Anyway, I was disappointed that I didn't get a chance to play a real level inside Dr. Loboto's mind. His end was kind of abrupt, just getting shot by Mr. Pokeylope.

 

I was hoping to fight Dr. Loboto at the end, not Coach Oleander. That was pretty much all I expected from the ending. =\

Yeah, I was hoping to browse into other minds, especially Dr Loboto's. I didn't think Pokeylope was important besides the "getting Shegor to cooperate" part. His part was overplayed IMO. A good mind world in Loboto's seemed more fitting.

 

I guess the inability to use the Psychic Portal on any of the children due to "rules" was just a way to limit the content.

I thought that Raz's dad would get kidnapped and set up for a cliff-hanger where he goes after him.
