Gavroche
OK, here are two questions which don't really concern the same subject, but it didn't worth two topics. First, I wondered about the "Jaq" nickname of Atton. I checked Wookieepedia's discussion section in Atton's article, and it seems it has only been seen in a TSL Guide... Did I get it wrong ? Do we know something about the nickname ? Of course we may guess that it has something to do with the false-idendity-thing the two Twi'Leks were speaking about, but do we really know something about it ? Secondly, while playing LS, Traya states about Mira that "She was not born to be a predator, despite her true father and the life she lived within the shadow of Nar Shaddaa."... Again, do we know something about Mira's "true father" ? (excepted the fact that it's the one she lost after becoming a Mandalorian slave) Or can we just make suppositions ? Thanks to those who could throw light on that.
SilentScope001
No comment on Jaq, but a comment on the True Father. You hear Mira say it herself, "Some outer rim planet. It's unimportant." It shows she doesn't care about her family at all... I think Kreia means that the True Father is the Mandalorain Race. They were the ones that raised her up. Nurture trumpts nature in this instance. And since the mandalorians are butchers...I think it is easy to determine what Kreia means.
Emperor Devon
I think Kreia means that the True Father is the Mandalorain Race. Mira says she was a prisoner of the Mandalorians who was conscripted into their ranks. My theory on the matter, tho, is that some Mandalorian soldier raped a prisoner which resulted in Mira. It would explain why she was considered one for a while and still had a Mandalorian father. (She'd be far from the first kid who was born because of that) Talking in a manner as abstract as that doesn't seem to fit in with Mira's character IMO. I saw the name Jaq in the strategy guide, but I've not seen it anywhere else except for fan fics. Perhaps it was Atton's original name and he dumped it along with his career in the Sith? He wasn't in a position he could easily walk away from. Having as little baggage as possible would be preferable, and names are easily traceable.
