Toliver
I read an interesting online article the other day: EA releases titles to capitalize on Wii success It's about how the Nintendo Wii has been such a surprise success that EA is now porting existing games for this new console. They added extra levels to the Wii version of "The Godfather" and adpated the game play to take advantage of the Wii's motion-sensitive wands/joysticks. Wouldn't Psychonauts be great on the Wii? You could beat up Censors yourself and use the wands for Telekinisis. Just the thought that extra levels could be added to Psychonauts...
Woodnote
OH SWEET HEAVENLY JESUS ON BUTTERED TOAST THAT WOULD BE FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC.
martmeister
You have to crouch to get the shield to come up. You have to squint, point at what you're burning, and put your other hand to your temple and don't forget to give that constipated look in order to use Pyrokinesis. You must head-bang to do a psi-blast. In order to do the common double-jump, ya gotta know how to do it.
Byakko
No doubt about it. Psychonauts would so rock with the Wii-mote X3 OMG! Imagine REALLY smacking Censors and camp-mates with the TK punch! THAT ALONE would be awesome! Like Psychic-Golf!
urluckyday
It actually would be pretty interesting to see how it came out on the Wii...if executed correctly a Game of The Year contender would arise. It just all depends on how they would handle the controls...difficult to perfect, easy to screw up.
martmeister
And then Psychonauts will get more publicity, they will bow before the RDers and will shall rule the world! Cue the music! <Imperial March plays> Damnit! Now, it's ruined!
Byakko
Considering the drought on good games on the Wii lately. Even a sudden unannounced Wii-port of Psychonauts would do very well on the huge install base, honestly.
urluckyday
The more games, the better...but maintaining quality is important too...that's why Psychonauts would be perfect...somebody email Doublefine plz.
martmeister
Oh yes, I'll get started on it. I'm sure DoubleFine will listen to piss ant me when it comes to their marketing and sales matters...
Byakko
Then let's do a COMBINED effort, hm? SPAM their marketing exec to the grave! Enough "Psychonauts Wii" in the subject lines ought to be enough... Or we could just start a petition =) I'll get my contacts around the Asian gaming scene XD
Miss_Mayhem
Thats a really good idea! Man, that'd be worth getting the Wii itself!
SealfiveLight
THe Wii totally rocks if the controls are taken seriously while programming the game. I've got one myself on December 8th (worked my ass off for it) And it rocks. Rocks. Rocks my socks. I thought about Psychonauts for Wii, too. THis is the kind of creative thingo that fits to Psychonauts like Censors to Sasha (Or Goggles to Raz, XD), doesn't it ?
martmeister
One of my friends tells me that he's grown tired of the Wiimote. He (demonstrated) that playing Spider Man was essentially just jiggling his hands and that most games coming out are for kids. I don't know; he seems to have a short attention span and tends to confuse simple things (clueless).
CosmonautBuggle
I think the Psychonauts on the Wii would be fun to a point. But then after a while I think it would get irritating useing the "wiimote" thing. Never had much luck with those things, other than hitting a poor friend in the head.
