Da_man
Because of the immense amount of time I have on my hands, I want to make some custom skins for the game (not multiplayer). Could someone get a tga of the commando armor, such as scorch's, fixer's and sev's armor?

HockeyGoalie35
to get there, open unrealEd, go to textures, clone textures and look for any of them, then right click the picture and what's above ^
Gamma097
no! wait! if you right click the picture and choose export, save it as clonecommando38 (or whatever).bmp and then you can open them in paint to get there, open unrealEd, go to textures, clone textures and look for any of them, then right click the picture and what's above ^ Once you've exported them, open your picture editor. (EG: GIMP, Photoshop, etc.) Look at this picture made by t65flyer: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v303/t65flyer/game%20shots/Kyram%202/CloneCommandoRef.jpg (Please note that before you do this, you should make a backup of CloneTextures.utx. The default directory of that is: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData\Textures.) Once you have your skin how you like, open Unreal Editor. Step 1: Go to the Textures tab. Step 2: Go to the "CloneTextures" catagory. Step 3: If you see 3 squares with pictures on them, Open "CloneTextures" from the smaller dropdown menu. If you see many squares with pictures on them, scroll down until you find the one you want. Step 4: Click on File, Import... Step 5: Find your skin and open it. Step 6: Make sure that the Package and Group both say "CloneTextures." Step 7: If you are replacing Delta 40's skin, then type "CloneCommando40" as the name. If you are replacing Delta 07's skin, then type "CloneCommando07" as the name. If you are replacing Delta 62's skin, then type "CloneCommando62" as the name. Step 8: Hit OK. Step 9: Close the Texture Browser. Step 10: Close the map editor. Step 11: You should be asked if you want to save the map, "Untitled," answer no. Step 12: You should be informed that CloneTextures.utx has been modified and asked if you want to save the changes. Answer yes. Step 13: Open Star Wars: Republic Commando and start playing the campaign to see what they look like in-game. Sorry if you got bored reading this. I've learned a lot about skinning in Republic Commando and want to share my knowledge.
