neal8929
I might start playing this summer again, and I have two questions. 1. What is the NGE like? I quit right after the NGE hit, so has the NGE gotten better since it was new? When I played last all you could do was the legacy quest, which was no interaction with other players. 2. Is the SWGemu going to be done this summer?
Guest DarthMaulUK
NGE is getting better. Alot of the old game features have returned. Camera angles are back to pre-nge and we now have expertise trees, although not as complex as the skill trees, but its something. Alot more people are coming back slowly and chapter 6 seems to be the turning point. No. SWG Emu will not be done this summer from what I have been reading DMUK
Rogue15
i'm re-installing, going to see if it's better...i think a 3 month leave of the game was good for me. edit: hmm still feels the same to me.....everybody and their 10+ buffs....managed to take out my first mark (surprisingly a jedi) though, he was being killed by fs npc's on dantooine anyway, who disposed of me shortly afterwards. my second mark i didn't even bother...elder jedi +7 other buffs. wish they'd make it so GCW buffs CANNOT have an affect on someone that is NOT combatant or special forces. then it would be completely fair (even to the neutral bounty hunters) and i couldn't say a damn thing. apparantly base clubbing is still goes on...that's pretty ****in retarded too. I'm not sure if i should drop my bh expertise and try beast master, or see if i can 1-up my adversaries, perhaps most of my marks jumped on the beast master bandwagon? only time will tell.... so far though, i'm not really impressed...though it is kinda nice to be back. edit: why are incubators SO DAMN EXPENSIVE....nothing should cost more than 1 million credits....damn it. o well looks like i'll go on and finish the rest of legacy quest! lol
EricJLeach
Yea inflation is insane atm. The devs really need to nuke the economy and rebuild it. Destroy all credits and rebuild the economy. Such as a galactic treasury so X amount of credits per server. But BH/BM would actually be pretty good. The pets are powerfull. They have some nice specials/snares. So I would say most of the combat BM expertise. Then what else is good for BH in its expertise.
Rogue15
definitely shields for defensive, or sniper shot....can only take one if you want to have a combat pet, unless combat pet is maxed out?
EricJLeach
I would go with shields. Your pet if you make/buy a good one will do plenty damage. Plus the innate specials you get. I would get a pet that has bleed/disease/bite/hopefully stomp/hamstring is a good snare. Dont max out BM expertise just do combat part. If you have like a alt use him to get all the crafting part of BM, and just use him to craft pets. It saves you pts on your main. Ill pm you, I have a favor to ask lol
Rogue15
wow i just read something at the sony forums...bh shield cooldown getting decreased down to 3 minutes (it was 5 minutes) that is going to be fotm. lol
EricJLeach
Yea lol... But BH's need some love lol
Rogue15
they're also doing something with antagonize to make it useful instead of making it draw agro.
EricJLeach
Ah good, BH needs some help lol they are not very powerfull. BM saved them lol
Rogue15
one other thing i noticed, the price inflation. those damned credit farmers...it's all their fault that the only swoop i can actually FIND is going for 65,000 credits. used to find them on the bazaar for like...20k. so it's not only the farmers but the lazy-ass resellers too! (i admit i resold a bunch of T21s back in the day...bought some really good ones for dirt cheap kept 2 and sold the rest...on the bazaar for 20k each....) i read on the main starsider forum they're trying to get it so people have to go directly to the trader to get what they want. it makes alot of sense, but finding a good trader is a difficult task. Guest DarthMaulUK
its not the credit farmers. its the greedy traders out there. The new BM expertise has seen prices rocket again for the parts needed to create Incubators. Resources are expensive again and that increases everything else. I found 20 units of WATER for 19500!!! Best shop around, or do a vendor search across the galaxy.
Rogue15
yeah the really funny thing is, anybody can harvest that stuff all you need is a few open lots and a survey device!!! (dont even need a survey device, tho it helps lol) I need to get a better incubator, plan to use up some of my less-than standard dnas and enzymes so i can get a feel for what i need, keep pulling the bounty hunter npc missions and rake in the cash.....or i could just try and sell some furniture and holograms...
