MtBlanc
I just got myself a DVD player (VCR style), a reciever and some quality speakers (well, in my opinion). The problem is, I don't have any movies to watch. So, what movies do you guys recommend? What should I rent? What should I buy? Just give me some advice! ------------------

Frenchyd
oOoo fun.. I liked Cast Away, that's out. Um Sugar and Spice, but that's a girlie movie. Saving Silverman SUCKED don't see that. Unbreakable was long and BORING. Emperors new groove is like THE BEST movie. heh. The Sixth Sence has cool DVD features. Terminator 2 is good on DVD Save the last dance sucked. Miss Congeiniality is good, but another chick movie... ------------------ FrenchyD A dog can't get struck by lightning. You know why? Cause he's too close to the ground. MtBlanc
Cool, thanks a lot guys. I've already watched Reservoir Dogs and 2001: A Space Odyssey, two quality films everyone should see, and I just bought 13 Days and Lawrence of Arabia. Oh and I rented Cast Away, but I haven't watched it yet. The Matrix is definitely on my wish list of DVDs. But there is so many choices! I don't know what to do. What else should I consider? ------------------

NiKo in finland
dinghy, do what i do, rent the whole store! i say go with: man on the moon the whole 9 yards vertical limit and all the others that were mentioned before...
MtBlanc
I think I'll stay away from Vertical Limit thank you very much. I climb in real life, and seeing such an unrealistic movie makes me somewhat disgusted. But about renting the whole store, I'm thinking about working down at the local movie rental place, just so I can constantly rent movies!

Natty
Some of the better DVD's I've got are Gone In 60Seconds Toy Story 2 Charlies Angels Terminator 2 American Pie The Truman Show (getting it in a week) 3 Dirty Harry Movies (dunno what) I like getting movies that have pyss takes and bloopers. I saw Scream3 on DVD and I went to the Alternate ending, so I'm like thinking "cool Sydney is gonna die whooohooo" what a ripoff that turned out to be, it was slightly different to how she kills him (shoots him whatever) like in the movie she shoots him standing up, in the alternate ending she shoots him lying down or something crap like that. Like that really deserved to be on the DVD What me and my brother usually do is rent the DVD first (if we can) to see if it's worth buying on DVD, but unless it's like a movie that I desperatly want, then we don't worry about it ------------------

Thrik
Zero that game is class. It's really executed well, how they mixed all the effects into the action. The bullet-time is just amazing.
