MagnusB Posted August 11, 2001 Author Posted August 11, 2001 Download Mirc, please. It's just like ICQ, only that you can talk to a lot of people at the same time!
MagnusB Posted August 11, 2001 Author Posted August 11, 2001 www.mirc.com It works like this: You are a user who can: a) join a channel #xxxx, where the x's are a channel's name. b) talk to a user directly, in a seperate window. c) send/recieve files to/from other users. And of course much much more. There are different servers, and if you are connected to a different server than another person, you can not talk to each other. For example if you are connected to DALnet (a huge server), and I'm connected to Undernet (another huge server), we can be on the same channel (#xxxx), but we can not see each other there, and not talk to each other. If all this sounds confusing, never mind, because: a) it really isn't. b) it's rather unimportant What you need to do when you've installed mirc is to connect to the server java.gamesnet.net. Write: /server java.gamesnet.net on the status line. Then write /j #adventure. If you find us there, you are connected to the chat.
