MM CTF how to kill oneself and get new guy

I play CTF often.

 

How can you kill your own guy when you are low on health and start over quickly with a new guy. I see many people do this and I am not sure how they do it. I just jump off the edge or cliff somewhere.

 

Anybody know how they do this?

Bring down the console (shift + `) and type

/kill

 

and that's it

If you going to do this often it's far quicker to pick out a key you want to use to accomplish this, and then do

 

'bind [key] kill'

 

in the console.

Mind you, when you kill yourself in FFA, it deducts a score point from you. If you kill yourself in a CTF match, does it affect the team scores at all?

 

Just a thought.

How do I bind a key???

Type this in console: bind x kill

 

x being key you wish to use.

 

to open console hold shift and press the `/~ key (tilde) to close it just press the tilde key.

Thanks for the feedback. It works and remembers the binding even when the program is restarted.

 

One more question, can you bind a key to use a force hop without using force energy. I want a HOP key not a Jump key that uses force.

you just have to let off the regular jump key quickly, and you can perform a jump using no force.
