stewlil Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Yeh im normally a grim fandango fan but in kerrang! today in the "Songs that changed my life" Regular page, There was Fightstar's Al Westaway being interviewed and his number one song for changing his life was the original "Secret of monkey Island"- Michael Land. Here's the quote - "It's the 'Monkey Island' theme tune from the computer game. It's a bizarre one. It's not really a song, but a composition for a great computer game. Whenever me and Dan (Haigh, Bassist) are working at his flat and are doing random Fighstar day-to-day buisness, we'll whack this on and it cheers us up!" Pretty Cool huh?
Joshi Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Heh, nice to see it's effecting people even today.
BigMike322 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 It is a classic. I remember when I first got it for Sega CD.
Fealiks Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 :D:D I have it on my iPod I found out that if you insert the "Monkey Island Bounty Pack" into a stereo it will play all of the songs from 1&2.
Joshi Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Um... it doesn't play the music for 2 (I have the Bounty Pack). It plays them for 1 because the game uses CD tracks to deal with it's music (thus, you can sopy the game files to your computer, play it through scummvm and then insert your own cd into the drive and let that music play with the game ), but MI2 uses iMuse which doesn't use CD tracks.
stewlil Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 Yeah i can come guilty of having like 3 versions on my ipod. 2 official, 1 Fan Made. haha.
