LAPIII
Are these worth doing? I wouldn't think so, but somewhere on Gamefaqs, this was suggested to do.
Emperor Devon
Without skills you can't repair droids, hack computers, get much use out of medpacks, fix HK-47, collect mines, and if you're playing TSL, see a lot of dialogue options. (Missing out on all that loses you a lot of cash and XP.) It's not like you've got anything to lose by spending skill points anyway.
Totenkopf
As relates to the team, it's also important to figure out how to apportion skills b/c you only get so many yourself and will need other team members to balance out your weaknesses. Allronix
And some characters are better at some areas and places than others. So, after you've played the game through a couple times, you will beneft from knowing who's most useful where. For example, T3M4 has a very wonderful slicing skill, but he's lousy at demolitions. If you have an area with mines as well as computers, then a better bet may be Mission, who is pretty good with both, especially if you spend the bucks on getting her good equipment. Another advantage of Mission's is stealth. Juhani, you want to give points in stealth because she is utterly nasty with her lightsaber, and can sneak past turrents and such. On K2, you have a real challenge with Bao-Dur, as he is probably a better tech than a Jedi (sorry to those who think otherwise). Give him cross-class feats in Treat Injury and Stealth and divvy up the points as evenly as possible. He's not the best in a fight, but he will clean house with anything skill-related. On my rare LSF game, he's not out of the party if it can be helped! With everyone, especially on K1, you want Treat Injury. On K1, party members can't medpack other party members. So, if you don't know where to put it, put it there. On droids, Repair is the equivilent.
