arm grinder

since noone cared to reply to my previous post ill make a slightly new one

 

in the faq section on gamefaqs.com it says:

"Head back up the ladder, use the arm on the grinder, and then take the

grinder, as you'll need it later."

 

well, the problem is that i cant "TAKE" the grinder. when i try to "Action" on it, it just grinds and arm fragments are shown falling down over the coffe machine

 

is this a bug?

Have you tried using 'P', which is the 'Pick Up' key?

..damn! now i realise that i have missed alot of funny coments from calavera with the P key!

 

can you name a few funny happenings when using "P" to interact?

Off hand I can't remember any; I tend to forget a lot of Grim Fandango's dialogue during the 2-4 years I wait before replaying it, which makes me enjoy the next play.

 

A lot of the objects in the game have three different responses from what I recall though, triggered by e (examine), u (use), and p (pick up). I didn't realise this myself until I'd played through a few times, and found lots of lovely new dialogue when I played through and remembered to try them all on everything (I remember it being the ketchup in Celso's cafe when I realised this, and Manny said something about it I'd not heard before).

 

It'll only it even more enjoyable if you replay it in the future so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I had this same problem! Nearly ruined the ending for me! I was digging through so many walkthroughs it was driving me nuts!
