Post yer love here! Excited about the new game? I'm really excited about it in part because I just took on the project of rebuilding a Sam and Max fansite, and now it could get a lot of visitors because of the new game! For those that haven't heard about it, come out of your cage and please go to http://www.infinite-machine.com today!

I'm incredibily excited about the upcoming game. First of all, I can't get enough of the rabbit and dog duo. Purcell's comedy appeals to me much more than the writing of Monkey Island and other similar adventure games. Sam & Max is so much like other games in one perspective, but when one looks at the wit, humor and overall great writing of the original game, one should be excited about possibly revisiting such humor. There hasn't been a game that comes close to Sam & Max's style, and I'm nearly peeing my pants in anticipation for a sequel.

Second, I'm interested into what Infinite Machines is going to do! The little I know is that Sam & Max is most likely going to be published for the X-Box (I'll have no X-Box insulting here, start a new topic smile.gif), and that it is going to be an action-adventure kinda game. Infinite Machine is a quality developer, just look at the upcoming game New Legends. I trust that they will pay tribute to the original game, but yet take it in an incredibly new direction. I'm interested to see what they can do.

I know it's sad that Sam & Max isn't being published or developed by LEC, but if a quality game featuring that hyperkinetic bunny, and that loveable dog of a detective will be produced, who really cares? I'm glad to see that good ole Purcell is involved in the development of that game, and that is a very, very good thing. I can't wait! In the meantime, I'll be clawing at the dashboard and shrieking like a cheerleader...or not.

This may be the very reason I buy an X-Box.

...and I'm nearly peeing my pants in anticipation for a sequel...

...As if Dinghy Dog wore pants.

Anyway, for those that don't know, the leader of Infinite Machine is a man by the name of Justin Chin. His claim to fame? Oh, I don't know....Dark Forces and Jedi Knight? And we can't forget that JK has arguably the best Max easter egg of all the LEC games (3D-rendered blaster Max!).

The fact that the IM team is working directly with Steve Purcell on this means that we can expect a quality product worthy of a console purchase.

That's right, I said it. I'm about as anti-console system as you can get, but It's outweighed by my adoration of the Freelance Police.

Actually, Lucasarts just rereleased DOTT and Sam and Max Hit the Road. If you live in the UK or Europe you can get your hands on that at amazon.co.uk.

Oh come now NiKo, you know as well as anyone about Dinghy Dog's pants-wearing habits, or lack thereof.
