Char Ell Posted April 8, 2008 Share Posted April 8, 2008 From what I understand The Grid will use all fiber-optics and no legacy infrastructure equipment. Seems to me that would require a whole lot of money be invested by current ISP's to upgrade their networks or perhaps build new ones if the enormous bandwidth supported by the Grid is to be made available to the general public.
