Description: Remember Dopak? He’s a mercenary on Dantooine that hangs out by the old temple ruins where with the Star Map use to be before Malak blew holes in it. He was also was given a unique look that people seem to really like including me. The reason behind why I like it is because that look seems more like what the Exile could have looked like in my opinion based on the personality traits we saw in the game. There have been many requests for me to release this, so here it is.

Well, I finally released my work for this head and personalized it a little for you to enjoy. As many of you know I’m an anti-zombie looking dark side transitions person and this head is no exception. The only thing this new playable head will have when fully turning to the dark side is Sith colored eyes.

This mod comes with custom portraits, a black jumpsuit when he is found on Ebon Hawk, and his own custom clothing look that I think looks better than the commoner clothing that you usually find on the Exile.

If you choose to use the Dopak head, another alternate head will take the place of Dopak when you see him on Dantooine. That way the Exile won’t be a clone of Dopak. If you later choose another head while having this mod installed, Dopak gets his default head back.

Important Note: When selecting the head from the menu while starting a new game, keep in mind that if you don’t see the Dopak head at random selected, his default clothing texture will be funny looking as it will try to work with the commoner clothing model. It’s no big deal as this glitch is only there when in the selection process. Once you start your game it will be fine.

Instructions: The TSL Patcher will be used to make these changes. Use the “Playable Dopak.exe” to install the mod. Make sure you select the folder where you installed your game, not the override folder itself because the Patcher is looking for the dialogue.tlk file.

Hey Shem did you ever submit this mod to PCGM back in the day when that site was up?

That wouldn't be me.

That was my first thought, then I looked at the pics and realized otherwise. Will give it a go the next time I play TSL.

  • 2 weeks later...

Been playing through using this head, and I found something that might need to be looked at.

You changed Dopak's head if you're using it as your character, but it seems there are 2 Dopak's you need to change, or something. The one you find on the plains is changed correctly, but when you fight the mercenaries inside of Khoonda (light side) he appears there, and has his original head.

So not only is he a clone of the player at that point, but he's also had head-replacement surgery from the last time you saw him. Guess he liked your head so much he just had to have it.

Well, then there is nothing I can do about that glitch. It appears the game engine failed to use the backup head in that situation. Not the first time I've seen that happen. That was a repeated bug on Onderon from time to time when using the 2nd Male Caucasian head.

As for your situation, it hasn't happened to me yet, but that maybe because I haven't played the light side since 2005 in TSL, and all my situations have been dark side and the backup head worked. ;)

Just wanted to say thanks to Shem for his continued amazing modding.

This is a new favorite of mine, and I'm totally in love with your Jal-Shey armor reskins (FINALLY a reason to wear the best Jedi armor in the game :D). Thanks so much for these great mods and all the work you put into them.

I'm loving the head, although I've yet to finish this game as a male....

I've just always found that both Revan and the Exile were a lot more interesting as females...

Although I will try and finish the game with that head I have no promises to give ^^
