wjs7744
Hex editing? You sure? If you have the mod tools you should also have the odf files for everything, and from there it shouldn't be too hard to find what you're looking for and change it. To be honest, I'm not sure how you then get your modified file into the game, but I am pretty sure that hex editing isn't the answer.
Bokken
Hex editing is not the answer. I don't have BF1 (and this is the BF2 modding forum) but the answer should be in the ordnance files.
Delta 47
You edit the side(s) Weapon odf file using a text editor preferably NotePad.
wjs7744
Well you could do either in the case of the shotgun. You could increase the amount of projectiles with the weapon file, or increase the damage per shot in the ordnance file. Most weapons you would have to use the ordnance file though. I really must try to figure out how to get the modified files into the game though, it's frustrating having a pile of modified files and no way to play with them. Bokken
Use the shipped maps, don't change anything on the map, and simply load your modified side into the game.
