arslaan
Hi All, I've already looked through the tutorials attempting to help myself first, but didn't see anything for my specific issue. Being a newbie to all of this, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.. I've created a thumbnail/inventory image for the Svosh/Darth333 KOTOR HV88 pistol for myself because I wanted an image, not the "HV88" logo. :-) I have the icon image completed and have it renamed properly, replacing the inventory image file they created. However I'm missing something, probably very simple, and it's making a graphical glitch in game: The image, despite being 64x64 pixels, matching the other icon sizes, is overlapping the other fields and isn't displaying the light blue frame. I do have an alpha channel set up, but I'm not sure if I've done it right given this result - or perhaps it's a different issue completely. I would appreciate any (constructive!) input on where I've veered off course. Thanks! Arslaan
Inyri
Make sure you're exporting to 32 bits/pixel. If you export to 24 or 16 you won't keep your alpha channel.
ChAiNz.2da
And be sure there is something ON the alpha channel. Straight white is not what you want On the Alpha channel... black is transparent, white is solid.. shades of grey are varying degrees of transparency. arslaan
Thanks to both of you for your replies. It was actually a combination of both your suggestions. Somewhere along the line I changed from 32 to 24bit color and from 50 to 100% opacity on the mask. Woops. It works perfectly now. Thanks again.
