evolution82
Hello, Im new on this forum. I got this problem with KOTOR running on Vista Ultimate 64bit: I can activate everything, but when I put vsync on the framerate goes down to 15fps. Strange thing is that if I deactivate vsync, with all the options checked on (including soft shadows and post processing) i reasonably have 80 to 120 frames per seconds... So why the framerate goes down? Shouldn't it cap to 60? This is my configuration: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @3ghz EVGA 680i Sli ATI Radeon HD4850 512mb 2x2gb ddr2 1000mhz running on a 19' lcd monitor with 1280x1024 resolution Is there a way to fix this problem, having v-sync activated and capped to 60fps? Does someone else have this problem too? I do hope somebody could answer me. Thanks anyway and sorry for my bad English (Im Italian...).
Christos K
Well I am pretty sure V-Sync is a no no when it comes to Vista. Just turn off V-Sync do you really need it on I dont see much differense with it on or off on my Desktop but on my Laptop It makes the game run like S@#%
Rathoris
i agree, if it kills your framerate just disable it. All it does is limit your fps anyway (to prevent screen tearing i think).
