CrisG
Hi, I just tried out XWA on my XP SP2 AMD 3400 2.6 Ghx with FX 7600GT, it seems to run ok, but the videos at times stutter. Should I try running in Win 98 Compatability mode? I had no trouble installing and it is already to 2.02, and most of the time the video looks ok, it just stutters at times. thanks for any advice. I have the XWAU DSUCP installed and i have added a few ships on top of that.... so far things look ok. Just have this stutter.
Wildstar
I'm not sure if the intro videos are stored on the hard disk or the CD, but if it's the CD, it could be an issue with the CD skipping, for which you can try cleaning the CD, then your optical drive. CrisG
Thanks Wildstar, i appreciate your helping. The DVD player is new, so i doubt it is the source of skipping. It started with the actual lucas Arts logo and i have found others with XP and relatively modern machines have the same problem. Is it usual for us to use 98 Compatability with XWA? i wondered if that miight help .... cheers and thanks i wonder if it would help to move the movies to the HD if they are on the CD, i will chek later
