SD Nihil
Hey guys. I downloaded the torrent file that contained the KOTOR Movie Episode 1. It is in a ISO file. What I learned is you have to burn the ISO file to a disc. Well I did, but when I try to place it into my dvd drive, xbox 360, or dvd player it doesn't play. I know it burned something because it has the rainbow colors on the bottom of the disc that lets you know you burnt the info onto it. But why can't I play it in my dvd player? I used these directions: http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm I used the Express ISO Burner. It verified to see if the info was burnt and it was. I just don't get why it won't play.

Astrotoy7
there are a bunch of proggies that can do it, I myself use the iso write function of dvd decrypter. It only works with dvd iso images IIRC. if you just want to watch it on your pc - mount the iso image on a virtual drive, as created by proggies like daemon tools or magicdisc(my preferred) you could just save yourself the hassle and watch on youtube, its just machinima after all mtfbwya
SD Nihil
I know that you can watch it on youtube and such. But I heard people were able to also hav] it on a dvd player and watch on the tv with their dvd player. That is what I was wanting to do. Here's where I got the Torrent from: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3560328/Star_Wars_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic__Episode_I_by_Kaydon_Sentry I downloaded the top link. Was that the right one? Astrotoy7
If you want it on a playable dvd disc > as I suggested above, using dvd decrypt will be Quick n easy 1. download and install dvd decrypter (878kb) ***LINK FIXED*** 2. Once installed, launch the app > pop a blank disc in > 3. Select Mode>ISO>Write 4. Then find the iso with the 'source' button when its all done press the big green 'play' button to start (having the verify button checked is ok) If it has been ripped from a dvd playable format, then this will get it back to that good luck mtfbwya
SD Nihil
Your link you gave went to a broken link. However, I was able to find the decrypter from anohter source. After attempting to do this write to disc I found that my disc just isn't big enough for the ISO file to be written to it. What size of disc should I get to hold this file? When I did the attempt to write it said my disc had 359,847 sectors available. The file image size is 2,255,024 sectors required. So what size of CD-RW disc do I need. All the discs I currntly have I have a tube of them. They are all the above disc size. Obvously not enough to hold this ISO Image. So yeah what size of CD-RW would you recommend? Astrotoy7
SD > thats a DVD image (4.3gb) CDs only hold 700mb and are hence not appropriate. Use a blank DVD disc mtfbwya

Astrotoy7
Dont worry SD. Its always good to get a refresher I also do similar tech support type stuff at a htpc forum and got muddled on a codec issue for my own setup at home. It was in Windows 7 beta though, so that makes me feel a bit better mtfbwya
