Baja Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I'm aware of this thread: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=155743 But has there ever been a definitive method of extracting the cutscenes and audio together?
Thrik Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I don't believe so. I do have video files of all the cutscenes sat in storage, which I shot manually as they played. I'll be making those (and a lot of other stuff) available at some point this year, but in the meantime I don't think there's a way to literally extract them.
Longcat Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 what are you talking about? the tools you linked to in that thread work fine for extraction.
Thrik Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 They work, but it requires a bit of work to get them as an actual playable video — last time I looked at them the video was outputted as still image frames, and the sound as a separate audio file. I'm guessing Baja wants something that just works as is.
Longcat Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 True enough. But still, it takes max 5 secs to import them into virtualdub or the likes and have a playable video.
