Brighteyes
Just got number 4 "Chaos Happens", only £5. Apparently the series was doomed after that 3D thing they spewed out which was kinda fun but simon was a complete pillac. Story goes that a group of germans wanted to take up the baton and so made numero 4. Apparently the voices are gonna be as bad as the discworld series games (minus Mr Idle of course) Whaddya reckon i'm in for with the fourth installment? Anybody got any fond memories of the series? (Ark at me posting like this, must have mistaken this place for World of MI)

You can expect game four to be mildly fun, but overall a big flop.
Brighteyes
Well, i've finished it. Yup mildly fun, but far from a triumph. The graphics were amazing, voice acting wasn't as bad as expected apart from using a load of english words eg: plonker, blimey and bloody hell that were spoken by americans. always a bad idea. The fact that it was made by Germans showed, the puzzles were obvious, for example to get a tranquilizer dart you used a dartboard, or to get a nail you used a hammer and so forth. Then the humour.........not really sure i laughed more than once, germans doing a humurous game.........................no. They announced that there would be a number 5 even before 4 was released in the UK. So how come MI is more popular, made by a world renowned company, the subject matter is very popular at the mo (POC) and yet it's old rivals are still prancing along and MI's not going anywhere? Suppose they could release it on Wii MI Wii hhhhmmmm
Brighteyes
Done abit of scouting for the next game, gotta get Broken Sword - Angel of Death. BUT also found a game called "So Blonde", apparently Guybrush, Simon and others make apperances. The games centered around a stereotypical upperclass blonde, trapped on a tropical island. Just watched an ingame youtube on it; she picks up a coconut and dialogues how she can't wait to show her freinds a real wild coconut, (which i thought was pretty funny). Spent a night with a very similar girl whilst travelling recently, but her posh upbringing hasn't stopped her, she told me stories about her travels that'd make ya toes curl, she's out in Ecuador at the moment. But you'd never expect a gal like her to put herself through those things. Get the feeling the game developers met her aswell Wow there really are still plenty of good point n clicks out there. Brighteyes
So if you buy So Blonde and have an Intel GMA chipset ya gotta download SwiftShader. Plus disable you antivirus software. Bit of a git. Wow, i have my own thread all to myself. Kinda feels like being in the middle of a large empty hall. Yoodelayheehoo! Yoodelayheehoo! Yoodelayheehoo! Brighteyes
This so blonde is really bloody good! Very MI, she even qoutes the similarities. The backgrounds are really nice n tropical, the voice actings one of the best that i've heard and the gameplay is fun but not too taxing. Apparently their gonna release it on Wii. There are references to lots of games/films, Jurrasic park velociraptor at the toilet window, George Stobbart (broken swords) head woven into the carpet, a pic of Le Chuck, Knights who say NI, the swamp noise from Abes Oddesey and loads more. Big reccomendation if you feel like bringing back that old love of point n clicks.
Brighteyes
Apart from the fact that whoever puts the data on the cd's is shiet. Lots of people seem to have problems installing this game.

Joshi
I have memories of the first two... well, the first one. I think I only played the second one through once. The third one though... ugh. I take that game as a personal insult. How the hell am I meant to play such a buggy slow game when the character I'm controlling is an arrogant dickhead. At least in the previous games you could choose whether you wanted to be an arse or not.
