Blue 1 Posted March 13, 2009 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Well, as the title says, I'm having problems installing X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power on Vista 64. I got the vanilla XvT installed using the MSI's so kindly provided by Markus Egger, but I can't get BoP to install properly. Every time I try to install I get an error that says "error reading from file <insert a few hundred files here> verify that the file exists and that you can access it" The file does exist and I can access it, but if I hit retry I get the same message and I can't just hit ignore for hundreds of game files. So I need help on what to do. I got the regular game to work, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. On a related note, I get the same problem when trying to install X-Wing '95. Blue 1 Posted March 13, 2009 Author Share Posted March 13, 2009 Nevermind about the BoP problem... I missed a file when copying the CD contents......three times. I feel dumb. My X-Wing '95 problem still remains, however. And I checked 10 times that I didn't make the same mistake, so any help there will be appreciated.
