AntJac
Hi all. Sorry to be a pain and ask you this but i got referred here by Qliveur. Basically when i install KOTOR, everything works fine except for on the main menu, where Darth Melak is standing, all of the buttons are gone except for Quit. The functions of the buttons still work fine but its a bit of a pain having to guess which grey square to click to start a new game etc. I was wondering if anyone has the graphics files for the buttons? I have done the Vista helpthread guide to no avail. Many thanks in advance

AntJac
Apparently you need DX 9.B to play KOTOR and i have 10 installed..problem is you cannot uninstall DirectX10. Now what do i do lol
Q
If you have the DirectX redistributable installed then DX shouldn't be a problem. Vista should have both 9 & 10 with it installed.
glovemaster
Might just be the fact that your running Vista, I had a few problems to start with. First I'd try running in compatibility mode (right click swkotor.exe > Properties, and choose Windows XP SP2 under "Compatibility") If that doesn't work then you can google some fixes for Vista problems. It could also be your graphics card; KotOR works best on nVidia and ATI cards, I've known kotor to work on intel cards, though thats on WinXP.
