Hexxxer Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Would it be possible for anyone to scan the original box art for JK and MOTS? I would very much appreciate the art in atleast 300dpi.
Boba Rhett Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 This is the best I can do for ya. I wish I had the original artwork myself. Anyone have the box handy and a scanner? There's also a LA cover art collection assembled over at MixnMojo. I personally wish they would have sticked with the original concept box art. I would kill for a hi res of that.
Hexxxer Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 unfortunately, these are not large enough. I am looking for something into the 3000+ pixal range. Thanks though.
Kurgan Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 If this is for a pirate bootleg, forget it... Not that you would do such a thing, of course! The original artwork is hard to scan because it has a metallic finish. Try the CD insert artwork instead. There's also the cool (but not quite so cool as the original) CGI first person "vs. Vader" box art of the set that came with MotS.
Hexxxer Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 the purpose for the scans is actually to recreate DVD cases for the originals like these: http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6196 http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=6423
acdcfanbill Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Anachronox! there's a great Ion Storm game that got screwed over.

I've wanted to do something like that for my Saturn/Dreamcast games for awhile now. Of course there is always the option to just make them "letterbox" style (don't stretch the image, just put black or some other color to fill in the gaps).
Kurgan Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 PS: Rhett, that ultra cool image on the concept box is found in the game installation graphics, which you could theoretically capture with print screen and stretch to full size (it wouldn't be very high res though, which means fuzzy or jaggies).
Hexxxer Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 Kurgan, that site I posted links at actually has almost every dreamcast game in DVD case format, it's all very high quality too!
