Astor Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Dame Vera Lynn, the 'Forces Sweetheart' of the Allies during World War II, last night topped the UK records chart with her greatest hits album, beating even the Beatles' new release, making her the oldest living artist to do so. For those who aren't acquainted with her work, here's her most famous hit, which should be familiar to anyone who has watched Dr. Strangelove. (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) I doubt she frequents this corner of the internet, but congratulations Vera!
adamqd Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 awesome lol, my late grandmother and my grandfather used to sing such songs during the War, and still did up until her death 4 years ago. Well done Vera heheh
