JuniorModder
I have Gmax, NWmax, and MDLops. And I have mdl files that I want to edit. But every time I load a file (twilek_f.mdl to be precise) into gmax, I get this error: "Binary MDL File not decompiled. Check file is valid or NWNmdlcomp is present." Can someone tell me how to simply open an mdl file?! JuniorModder
newbiemodder
The file has to be in the ascii format to load into gmax. Double click on the mdl file you want in Kotor Tool..select the file for the ascii file destination. Once that is done go into Gmax..click mdl loading from the NWmax menu..then import.. Do I just save it with .ascii at the end? Because I did that, and still recieved the same message. JuniorModder
DarthNandis
Use MDLops to decompile the .mdl file.
newbiemodder
The file should look like this example...abcxyz-ascii.mdl
JuniorModder
GRR, every time I try to open MDLops, a black rectangle appears with about 2 lines of something, and then disappears before I can tell what it is saying. JuniorModder EDIT: I can make out the following: couldn't read file "icon.xpm": No such file or directory at /PerlApp/TK/Image.pm - that's all I can read.
