Ghost
I reported once that the game crashed with Swoop races, but now it is just plain annoying. Everytime I enter a different module, the game crashes. Or even after conversations. I have the patch installed. This has happened very frequently, especially on Onderon. I have the patches installed. This also has happened to Kotor 1. Is there a fix? Say an INI fix?

Q
Are you setting CPU affinity to a single core every time you launch the game?
Ghost
what do you mean by that?
Q
Well, I think that I found your problem, then. These games were meant to run on a single core. After starting the game, press Ctrl-Shift-Esc to bring up the task manager. Right-click "Knights of the Old Republic" under the applications list and select "Go to process." Right click on the highlighted process (probably something like (sw)kotor.exe) and select "Set Affinity..." In the dialog box that comes up, deselect all but one core. Then return to the game and see what happens ^/_\^ Just remember that you'll need to do this every time you start the game.
Ghost
hmm, its still all screwed up. Maybe I deselected the wrong core. I had two options. CPU 1 or CPU 0. I deselected CPU 0. Ill try again. Result: Its still ****ed up, either way. *sigh* i guess I'll never be able to play Kotor 2/1 again
Q
Deselect CPU 1. Oh, and in the .ini file, "Width" and "Height" should be set to the same values under both "Display Options" and "Graphics Options". With that 8800GTS, you should be able to set these values to 1280x768 for widscreen. Just make sure that your graphics driver supports it. If it doesn't, use the nVidia control panel to set up a custom resolution.
Ghost
I use 800x600 as my resolution, and looks like your right. I looked at both, and Display options was off. It still is not working however
