JuniorModder
I got an error when reinstalling TSL. I searched around, the reason that came back to me was that the game disk was scratched. I checked, and it was very scratched up. So.. I was wondering what should I do? Is there a place where I can buy a disk-free version of the game legally?? I know direct2drive sells Kotor 1, but I can't find TSL anywhere? Or perhaps is anyone willing to sell disk one? Thanks, JM
Ghost
Sorry, but I don't know about that. The cheapest way is just to buy another copy. I know I need to because mine is so ****ed up it won't even get through one module. Might as well go on Amazon and order a new copy, because nobody really sells Kotor and TSL in stores anymore. Usually Disk-Free copies are just pieces of ****, so you probablymight just want to stick with the disks.
Istorian
I believe you can repair your scratched one. I had the same problem with KotOR 1 about a year ago, and I took a sponge, dry, not wet, and brushed the back of the game disk in circular motion for about 1-2 minutes. And, it worked for me. After that, I tried to install, and it was alright. But this is for minor scratches, I don't know of you can repair a big scratch with this trick. However, you have nothing to lose. Try it! Hypnotiq
Have you ever used a CD/DVD scratch remover? I used it on my copy of Halo 3 as well as the original KotOR, but that was of course for my Xbox 360. However it worked wonders and I never had a problem with it again, I got the cleaner for like 10 bucks at Wal Mart and it saves a lot of money and frustration when you screw up your disks. JuniorModder
I'll try cleaning it, but if that doesn't work, my local target has a whole row of TSL's for $19.99. JM
