Kelvin
Sorry for annoying you once again, as always, asking about weird things that happen to me. Recently, i've made a face for kotor 2, merging to models i had. Everything was ok, but one problem that started to annoy me a lot ( i thought it wouldn't be THAT annoying ). My character doesn't move the head, not even blink, and i didnt merge anything with the eyes or eyelashes... Only merged the head with another mesh... It is weird, 'cause i've been working on a higher poly vandar, and it does move the mouth and all, blinking and so. What's happening? Thanks, Kelvin. VarsityPuppet
You may be missing some essential bones in the model, or they may not be linked in the correct order. The bones have to have the same names and hierarchy as the supermodel, otherwise you're going to mess up some animations.

Mmmm, i don't know, i haven't touched anything just merging and resetxform, as you told me. Well, i just varied your tutorial in a little part. For some reason, when i compile the model using the supermodel, the head appears all deformed, even while using resetxform... But when i use the original model to compile everything, it shows up ok, but without animations. Would that be the problem? How could i fix it? Thanks EDIT: I have changed the parent of the head to head_g, and it does move th emouth, the eyes, everything!!! but the head seems to be floating behind the neck. Any idea to fix it? That's my last question. Thanks!!!!

Also noticed that the head moves all alone, i mean, it doesnt follow correctly the movement of the body, when i walk forward, the head is in front of me, when i am standing, it is on my right shoulder, when the pc is lying on the bed, it just disappears behind the bed, when it is unconscious on the floor, the head is next to the leg.... I have taken the coordinates of position and parents from another head, copied and pasted from one to the other, and also changed the back that thing i changed about head_g and pfhc06 ( the head parent )... now the head is still the same, but at least the head's parent is pfhc06 and not head_g, just as it should.... Any idea? Thanks for your time.
Darth DeadMan
i haven't touched anything just merging and resetxform ResetXform is your problem. When you work with animated models you should not use it, or animations will be lost. In your case, you'll have to begin from scratch (or from saved max scene, where you didn't resetxform) For some reason, when i compile the model using the supermodel, the head appears all deformed Which version of MDLOps you use? If I remember right, supermodel compile method works fine only with 0.6a1
